Bio and Links
I have been researcing my family genealogy since 2003. These include the Loper and Baker families from Franklin County, Mississippi, the Eckart and Damuth families from East Feliciana Parish, Louisiana, the O'Quin/O'Quinn family from Jayess, Mississippi, the Rotton, Bassett and Brooks families from Pike/Bullock County, Alabama.

I have been walking through the cemeteries in those areas looking for family members, mostly to verify dates on tombstones. Please contact me if you notice any errors which I have entered on Find A Grave.

Hi Donnis,

I am hoping you might know some Meridith/Meredith family history and would help me. My great-grandfather was a William Meredith who lived in Pike County AL in 1850. There were quite a few of them living in different households according to the census so I cannot determine with any certainty who his parents were. He would have been born about 1840, married Avis (Avey) Saphronia Wheat and ended up in Texas where he died before 1880. I assume he was in the Confederacy. Does any of that ring a bell in your store of knowledge about the family? I would appreciate any help. Avey and William were both from Alabama/Georgia.
Thank you so much.

Brooks family
I just connected the Brooks listings that you have for Macedoina Cemetery in Bullock Co., AL. Just wanted to take you for your hard work on adding them and the pictures of their tombstones, has helped me fill in some holes and I had some of the names spelled wrong. Also wanted to ask if it was ok to add the brooks picture you have added to F.A.G, to my family tree. Thanks in advance.
