Bio and Links
Bio Photo With much of my immediate family growing in and around the Washington D.C area for generations, I was never overly curious about family history. After a friend who was more interested than I found photos of relatives gravesites in other states who were born during the time of Andrew Jackson I was amazed. Even a marker for my grandmother's unnamed infant son which I had seen in home movies had been photographed by someone.
I am most familiar with DC area's, Holy Rood, Arlington Cemetery, Oak Hill and Cedar Hill Cemetery on Pennsylvania Avenue. I have taken many photos for my own enjoyment and for friends over the years, but realize others are often not so near.

Dear Randy,

Thank you for the Samuel Mickum’s paternal relationship Find A Grave link to Samuel Calistus Mickum and Anne Marie Mickum Waters.

Are you a relative of Samuel? My wife, Elizabeth Wharton Niehl Abbe, is the unacknowledged daughter of Odale Dabney Waters, Sr. and half-sister of RADM Odale Dabney Waters, Jr*. Perhaps you and she are related.

Earl Abbe

*Confirmed by her maternal family record and by Ancestry DNA.

Hello,
I was wondering if I may use the photo you have posted on the memorial for Jacob Beck Hardesty on my Ancestry family tree. He was a 1st cousin, 3x's removed. I will make sure to credit you as the photographer.
Thank you for all the work you have done on Find-A-Grave. Love to visit family grave sites and see their memorials, which is made possible by nice photographers such as yourself.
Thank you again,
Kathleen Bond

I don't want anyone to harm this marker.
This dude was for real and I found him randomly.
He is my #1 hero and idol.

DC Rock Creek Erastus Johnston Civil War Soldier
May I use the monument photo that you contributed to the Find A Grave memorial of Erastus Johnston, to post on the Vermont Civil War site? ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
He was a native Son of Vermont and served in both the 3rd and the 9th Infantry during the Civil War.

You will receive credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.
