I contacted Sons Of Union Veterans of the Civil War. They will be removing the information that the Joseph Greenfield is the same in this cemetery is the same one that served in the Civil War later this year. It seems someone saw the name and made the connection without any 'proof' and added it to their site. I guess because he lived in Grand Rapids? I hope the real one is found someday as last I found anything on him was when he was discharged in Utah.

Just wanted to thank you for the headstone pic and to ask that you update her date of death. Her death certificate says she died July 13, 1915, not June. I made the correction on find a grave today, Sept 24, 2014, so not sure if you need to do anything with this or not. Thanks. Velma Marquis. Ida would be my great aunt on my dad's side.
I wanted to thank you for the photo, just catching up with everyone who has done this that I had not done yet, I appreciate each and every photographer!

Good evening Richard;
Here is Private Louis Rau f.a.g.# 14422670 my great-uncle. Note his age, and when I called the cemetery years ago ,the man mentioned that he was only 1 of maybe 23 that were buried there.P.O.W ??. I believe is what he was referring to.
Also if you look at his Mother Regina Rau; who is linked to him , I have placed the pension record up for you to use for your records if you like.
Thank you for all your research here on find a grave. And for keeping the 6th Michigan Cavalry alive !!!
I bid you a good evening,
Judy in Michigan.

I so appreciate what you do to remember our veterans. The Joseph Kennedy you speak of was killed in action in the Civil War according to this: http://kent.migenweb.net/military/civilwar/cwkent/grcdCW.html. Also, many cemeteries in the Grand Rapids area were called Greenwood if you look at the site. # 95043576 lived in Canada until at least 1871 with his family and died in 1887. If you have some other piece of information that shows this is the same one in Company B I'd like to know. Note, #95043576 is buried next to his wife.

Thank you for the transfer.
I'll get it for you ... I finally got lot cards for all the ones that I reported a problem for. So I will need to go on a big hunt at Greenwood ... :) At least your Joseph Kennedy has an entry in the cemetery reading, so he likely DOES have a stone! Were you at the Fulton St Cemetery walk this afternoon? I was there for the 1:00 one ... but I don't remember what you look like :)

Say what!?!?! I want to know where to get one, not just because he mentioned me but because he is such a fantastic man!!!
I have kindly asked before for you to remove the Civil War picture you have attached to a relative of mine: Find a grave # 95043576
He was NEVER in the Civil War. He was in and of Canada all during the Civil War. He did NOT live in the USA during that time. I have no idea why you've added that to his memorial and you must have it mixed with another person of there's a marker in the cemetery in the wrong place. Please remove it.
