I (on the right) am a member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, Bennitt-Duke Camp #773 in Durham, North Carolina. I am a member of the Point Lookout POW Descendants Organization. My wife and I have been doing genealogy together for almost 20 years. It is our passion. Through my genealogy work I have identified over 900 kinfolk (grandfathers, uncles, and cousins) that served in the Confederate States infantry, cavalry, and navy.|
My loving wife and best friend Joyce passed away on Christmas Day 2012 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. When I return to taking my trips to libraries, archives, and cemeteries to continue my genealogy research it will be very difficult without my better half. We worked so well as a team. I miss her. Her memorial is #102701133.

I've been meaning to write you for quite awhile.
Very sorry to read about your Loving Wife, you were very Blessed to have each other and I Pray the Lord will keep You held up, everyday.
A Beautiful Picture here, Dear Sir. Just wanted to say A Big Thank You, for your Dedication to Our Beloved Confederacy. I too, have many Hundreds of Confederates in My Family, and that is My main purpose in making Memorials, of these Gallant Men and Their Families.
Very Awesome that you work with "The Northern Prisons", where our Confederates lived and Died, in such Harsh Conditions, Thank You so much for that.
Blessings to You, from Georgia. Cindy R.
Would you be able to transfer management of Margaret Hayes to me? I would like to link her to her parents and add some pictures. She was my mother's aunt. Find A Grave Memorial# 68147802

LARRY ROGERS: Find A Grave Memorial# 74836479
Hi! Reference not below. This is the "flower" that needs to be removed, as the decedant is now in the correct cemetery.
Larry is not buried in this cemetery. He is buried in the Rogers Family Cemetery on Baptist Road.

Hi! You might want to remove your "flower" about Larry's burial. Have appended photos from Rogers Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Baptist Road, Durham.

Thank you so much for transferring my relative's memorial to my care. And thanks for the wonderful photographs and records you've contributed over the years. You and your wife helped so many; I know she will always be by your side in spirit. God bless you!

Finally kept my word...I visited George Washington Courtney and added the graveside photo.

I've added the info that you supplied to his findagrave listing. I am on the board of the Historic Sylvester Cemetery...that is my connection to Mr. Coggin.

John: I was adding my relatives into a cemetery and saw that you maintain some of them, so I went to your page. I am sorry to see that your wife passed away, but know that she is in a better place without pain. I left her a flower.
