I live in Indianapolis, IN but was raised in southern Indiana. Cemeteries have been great tools in finding our ancestors. I love the Find A Grave site and have found many missing links here. I've been here since 1999 but lost my original account for a bit and had to make a new one. The kind people at FAGrave were able to merge my two accounts.

I never expected to have such an odd hobby. But when I am contacted by persons who have found lost ancestors through my work here, I feel it is very worthwhile.

I try to take photos of older graves knowing that they are often destroyed by either the elements or sadly, vandalism. As I photograph graves, I always try to remember the life of the person buried there.

I would like to thank Dan Elliott for his hard work on documenting burials in Gibson County, IN. I have posted some of his photos on FAGrave memorials with his permission. If you have roots in Gibson county, his cemetery records at

I live close to Crown Hill cemetery and can take grave photos when I am able to get the time to get out. It is a great place to walk for exercise.
