Bio and Links
Bio Photo When I was a kid, my grandparents would take me with them to visit the cemeteries where relatives were buried. They would stand by a stone and talk about the person buried there. I wish I could remember those stories. This is a way to record stories I am now told. There is a story under every stone and cemeteries full of untold stories. I hope this will give people a chance to record a memory before it is forgotten, then lost.
Recently, my husband got a Harley and we have combined our two interests. We ride the bike to various cemeteries that folks request photos from and have fun reading the old names and hunting for the requested gravesite. Sometimes just finding the cemetary is quite the challenge!
I do research on the following family lines: Lillpop, Askren, Green, Bell in Indiana. In Mississippi I follow the lines of Taylor, Ferguson, Scott and Holden.

I figured you were my cousin Patty. Red was my grandfather. My uncle Jerry and I have done extensive research on the Bruton/Brewton tree.

Patty,

Is it possible to get an updated photograph(s) of this monument? I am trying to read the inscription, and it looks like there is a second stone behind it. I am curios as to what it reads.

Bethlehem Cemetery vs. Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery
Hey Pattypop,

This past week I photographed the Bethlehem Baptist Church cemetery which sits between Hwy 51 and I-55 (Across Hwy 51 from the fire hall). While researching the cemetery, I found Bethlehem Cemetery which appears to be located across the interstate on the East side if I-55.

It also appears from your photos that Bethlehem Cemetery is abandoned and not cared for.

I wonder if a note should be attached to the description of Bethlehem cemetery noting the distinction?

RE: Burford
Hi Patty,

First, I'd like to thank you for the quick transfer of Mary Ann Burford and her husband.

The DeBoor Family Tree on Ancestry.com is 4000+ and growing, thanks for asking.

I'm working on the Burford branch of the family. I'm currently researching a large group of Burford's in Mississippi. You have about 36 Burford memorials that I would like you to transfer to me so that I can link them all up and make additions and corrections. Do you want me to request the transfers individually or can I send you an email with a list?

Regards,
Tim DeBoor
