I was born and raised in the oil fields of the Texas Panhandle, and since we did not live near either my father's or mother's family, I grew up thinking we had a very small family. After I retired with 30 years of federal service, I started tracing my father's family, which, except for his immediate family, I knew very little about. I thought this would be a simple project, however, it turned into a huge project that both my husband and I love pursuing, and it keeps growing.
As we travel, we stop at any cemetery we are near (and sometimes not so near) where we know there are family members and photograph their graves and those of others who might be related. We have found many additional people whose burial sites we didn't previously know. Whether related or not, I will create new memorials or put the photographs on existing memorials on Find A Grave to share with others.
Please feel free to use the photos I have posted on any Find A Grave memorial, BUT please give credit to my husband by showing "photo by Bill Lewis". He has been hot and cold, wet and dry to take these pictures. We take them to share with others but ask that you be courteous about their use.
If you would like a memorial transferred, please ask, and if you are more closely related or it is someone that is not our family, I will be happy to transfer it.
Please DO NOT add death certificates to the memorials I have created. This is not the place for death certificates - it is a place to honor the lives of those who have gone before us.

Yes, you may use my photo with source notation. Thank you for asking!
Per you information, I linked Teresa to her parents. I'm wondering if you are related to them? Thanks!

You're welcome, glad to do it. Yes I did have to sweep the snow off the stone, but it wasn't too bad. I was going to get all the Adams stones photoed also, but only got the ones near the Donalds stone. The others will have to wait until spring. Thanks.

You are welcome. Photoing adjacent relatives and creating memorials as needed saves trips back to the cemetery as the requestor's research progresses.

I believe that I am the GGson of James Oliver Lane. My GGmother bore my paternal Gfather by a Jim Oat Lane out of wedlock.
The affair took place in Franklin County, Virginia.
I have long be looking for "Jim Oat Lane". I do have my Y-DNA markers.
A reply will be appreciated.
