Please contact me if any info I've submitted is incorrect or needs to be updated. I especially welcome correction suggestions for any memorials I may have duplicated. |
I transfer memorials. As long as you are not asking for a whole cemetery to be transferred, I am open to it. Just send a Suggest a Correction by clicking on the Edit tab on the memorial. If you are, or know of any, historical societies, I do transfer all of my memorials in a cemetery, city or county to those societies. Just ask.
10/15/13 - Use my photos, please. Especially on Ancestry.com. Headstones and people. Really. Just not for personal or professional profit. All I ask is that you please give credit to this website and the photographer. "eobfindagrave, #46779688, at Find A Grave dot com"

A heroic man Cuff Ashport
Possibly the saddest interment is the anonymous woman listed as Chinese Woman
A feel good story
A young man whose memory I want to honor is Steven Fagan
A mother, unknown to me, but whose headstone I came across one day. Anna Becker
A sad but all too common story. Seems to me she was a very special girl.

|Ron Meyers||RE: Saint Peter's Cemetery - Jersey City|
Yeah, I thought it was important to document those graves in St. Pete's before time erases all traces. Someone made a photo request of that cemetery. When I went there to fulfill the request I couldn't believe the number of markers that were unable to be read. As a kid 35 years ago I used to hang out there with my friend Howie and drink beer (as so many of us did back then)and read the graves. The graves were in decent shape, but not so much now. So before they were all unreadable I decided to photograph what I could. When the weather clears I'll go back and make sure that I get every grave's pic. The Arch. of Newark takes care of this cemetery, but only as a courtesy. And it's only open on Sunday. The graves in this place seem to be some of the oldest in Jersey City though. I live a few blocks from Holy Name on West Side Ave. If you need a pic from there just let me know... Ron
