Welcome ! |
To everyone who has created online Memorials - Thank you. It is wonderful to find an Ancestor's Memorial online.
For the volunteer photographers around the world who have used their valuable time to take and upload photos, I really appreciate your kindness. It means a lot to me to see a relative's last resting place.
If I have fulfilled your photo request, you may copy my photo as you wish. It is an honor to help someone find a relative's last resting place and remember them with a photo.
Love and peace,

Thanks yet again; he is the Darwin family fold!
Annie May Gibbens
I just contacted relatives and according to my Canadian relatives:
According to Glen, May Smith Dottridge and Grandpa Ancel had two children John Gibbens and May Gibbens.
May Gibbens lives approximately 45 minutes from our home and Glen has visited her on a few occasions.
The find a grave write up is incorrect and the lady they mention on the site Annie May Gibbens is not a relative as we looked up her death certificate and she died in 1960 and her husband was Patrick Gibbens and Annie May's last name isn't Smith Dottridge. Unfortunately some things can get mixed up along the way.
So she shouldn't be connected to my Gibbens
Hope this isn't too confusing

Memorial looks good to me. I deleted the one I had made and removed parents link first so that they would not show as ghost links on your memorial. Sometime F_A_G seems to keep them from showing, other times they do show and then you have to send to edit to get them removed.
Possible the divorce on 1930 is incorrect, but it is more usual for a divorced woman to say she is a widow rather than admitting a divorce. I have seen that a lot. So far as I know TN does not have divorce records on line at least not for that time. I think I have seen some very old ones, but don't remember where. At least we have found a lot of inf for Benj. and all or most of his siblings linked to the parents.

Birth date evidently a typo, below is from his death cert and looking close at the headstone photo it is 1844 not 1874. I did not catch that and will send an edit. The manager of his Memorial did add the death cert inf to his bio.
Name: Green D Belcher
Birth Date: 4 Feb 1844
Birth Place: Tennessee

I haven't gone into his children just his parents and siblings, Checked the census(Davidson CO) and in
1920 Frank and Clara had Neartye B, age 8, Frank H, age 3
1930 Clarah M Belcher age 32 divorced lived with her nephew Carl H Mosley age 27, her children Frank Belcher, age 13, Allie M, age 9 and Robert C age 7,
1940 Clara, widowed Robert, age 18, Raymond, age 14. The census show the same ones that you have.
1940 Allie Marie Belcher, age 20 and Frank H, age 23 live with Avis divorced, age 35 and Amanda Slinkard, age 68

If the Slinkard side is the one that is your family all you need to do is use the information for Benj Frank that I have added, Remove the reference to parent Robert and Annice on yours ,add the links from mine as his parents and all should be well. I would really appreciate if you would do a copy and paste of the inf. and then I can just delete mine and not have to send to edit to merge with yours. It will work out.

I am glad to do the transfer. I just wish I knew where your great great grandfather was buried and his wife, Margaret Weaver. Do you have any ideas?
