Bio and Links
Bio Photo BTW...Dad died in early June 2014--if you sent me a note & I did not respond--please resend!

I am married with 3 children & 5 grandchildren; we have had dogs living with us since 1969, when our 2 BIG dogs (a Lab & a German Shepard) died several years ago we decided to get a smaller dog. This 25 pound dynamo now lives with us and answers to ZEUS; he is well loved by all!

Some thoughts I've found posted by others:
To the world you may be just one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Those we love don't go away...
They walk beside us every day!!!
Unseen, unheard, but always near....
Still loved, still missed and very dear!

Small plaque shown by a cemstone says:
Our family chain is broken & nothing seems the same, but as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

PLEASE ADD FAMILY MEMBER PHOTOS
I have been researching since 1983, started all this to find my birth mother, did that; discovered I really enjoyed the hunt for missing relatives now long gone.
I always did like solving puzzles, but now I find the answers are not "in the back of the book" but usually found on a web page, a newspaper, a cemstone or hidden in a courthouse somewhere.
If you happen to share family members with me, PLEASE let me know. Drop me a line, to let me know that you found an entry, especially if you have something to add; or a correction to make. If you have a bio entry you would like to have included no problem-send it; will post. Dianna

Possible relative?
Are you also on FamilySearch? Reason I ask is because in the last few days someone with the name on there of just DJC added info on my great-grandpa. I was just wondering if you were the same person and maybe we have the same family members?

Gladys Brownlee
I just recently joined Find A Grave and James and Gladys Brownlee were my grandparents. Gladys died 2 days before my father's 18th birthday, so none of us actually knew her. I was so happy to find information on her siblings, Thank you so much for posting the information and giving me a place to start. Susan Gaffney

RE: Martin Joseph Smith (1892-1965)
Yes, please do. Maybe someone will locate the truth. I have not been able to find any more than the family story that Martin's daughter, Margaret, told me last year. Judy

Martin Joseph Smith (1892-1965)
The daughter of this man is still living, and maintains that he was not born in Massachusetts, but in Ireland. To protect his jobs and stay in this country, he said that he was born in the US. He is a twin to Hugh Smith. Martin's daughter is the wife of my first cousin, however, I am also a Smith, but from a different family. Your comments would be appreciated, and you should be aware that the birth information cannot be documented from a primary source. I'd be interested to learn what anyone may find. Thanks!

FALSE in record
As noted in my profile, FALSE was added in error by Find A Grave during a massive upload. They were unable to correct the error, so, as we find them, we're clearing out the message. Sorry for any confusion. Please submit a photo request and the memorial photo will usually show up within the week, if the weather is good. And thanks for letting me know your source for the info. Always helps to be careful.
Happy Find A Graving. Pam

RE: Memorial--Dorothy Smith
Thank you so much for your help! I have deleted the picture of YOUR Dorothy Fay Smith--at least I think so. I will check back in a few minutes to make sure.

I am very sorry about the error. I am 84 years old and have been using a computer since the 1970's. Should be able to do better. I really want to learn how to use Findagrave properly. I have been a genealogist since I was 20 years. When I started, many of the people I contacted gave me pictures because I was the only one who was interested and they wanted them to be saved. My family on both sides were packrats! Not only did they keep old photographs, but they actually wrote names on the backs. I have accumulated a great many pictures that I think probably no one else has. I would like to keep faith with those people who entrusted me with their treasured pictures by being a good steward and sharing them with other descendants.

I notice that YOUR Dorothy Fay Smith was buried in Jefferson Co, OH. A number of my family lines came through Jefferson Co, OH, i.e: Hill, Jenkins, Horsman, Cousins. I have pictures of Joseph Hill and his wife Esther Jenkins; they were born 1798 & 1805 respectively. Any chance that we are related? Netti

RE: Memorial--Dorothy Smith
I am so embarrassed! That picture is of my aunt--Dorothy Fay Yantis Smith. I realized my mistake almost immediately, but don't know how to delete the photo. I have added it to the proper person now.
