I have been doing family history for over 45 years and I do understand that elation when one finds information about their family. For over 7 years now I have tried to do my share in documenting grave sites in any cemetery that I am near. I hope that my efforts have helped some to actually see the grave site of a family member that they never knew the location of or could never hope to visit. I spend many hours doing the photography and even cleaning up the weed choked sites. Also I go the extra mile and try to find more documentation and information about the person.
It is not my intent to construct an instant family tree for anyone to claim; but, please, do not minimize or negate the time and efforts I put forth. I am always cooperative in making corrections or adding information to a site but prefer not to make transfers except under certain circumstances.
Please be patient if I do not make an edit immediately. It will happen but I am not at the computer 24-7.

Hi Kay, I thought you might like me to share some info about our ancestry George A. Isham. He was a Lieutenant and fought in the War of 1812 in the Battle of Sacket's Harbor, NY. His Dad Capt. George Jonathan Isham was born 16 July 1759 in Colchester , CT & died 17 Aug 1843 in Henry Co., IN. He fought at Battles of Monmouth & Stony Point, NY (where he was wounded in left arm). Waynesville, IL was named after Capt. George Jonathan Isham's leader in Revolutionary War. Gen. Anthony Wayne died in 1796. Thank you for all you did on Find a Grave, Sincerely, Dan Fitzpatrick

I'm asking permission to copy your photo for tombstone of James W McKnight and Nora Catherine McKnight in the Macedonia Cemetery in Christian Co. KY. They are very distant cousins whom I would like to include in my husband's family tree on Will give you the credit for the photo. Thanks for your work for Find a Grave. Phyllis Nelson

They don't transfer comments any more. I double checked. So I had no way knowing why you decline it.

I will have to remember that the next time I decline one. Or get decline, tell or ask in messages.

Hi Kay, I was looking at information you submitted for George A. Isham & Keziah Jones Isham on find a grave at Evergreen Cemetery in Waynesville, Illinois. They are my 4th great-grandparents on my mom's side. Besides Polly Ann & Andrew B. they also had a daughter who was my 3rd great-grandmother. Her name was Cynthia Ann Isham Summers. She was born in 1814 in Clark Co., Ohio, later moving to Henry Co., IN with her parents & siblings. She married William S. Summers in 1828 & also came to Dewitt co., IL with her husband, parents & siblings. William S. Summers (born in 1802 in Highland Co.,Ohio) died in 1847 in Waynesville, IL & Cynthia Ann married Thomas Hotchkiss in 1850 & moved to Bloomington, IL where she died 26 Feb 1856. Also Waynesville, IL was names after Gen. "Mad" Anthony Wayne who was George A. Isham's father's general at Stoney Point in Revolutionary War. George A. Isham's father was Capt. George Jonathan Isham. Would you please add Cynthia Ann Isham to the sibling list & info about Capt. Geo Jonathan Isham. Capt George Jonathan Isham's wife was Anna Ackley. Thank you very much for updating this for our family. Sincerely, Daniel Fitzpatrick ( your distant cousin)
