I started researching my family roots on my mother's side in Aug 2010 after seeing a small family tree for this side of my family that I knew little about. I soon became hooked on genealogy research! |
I found Find a Grave Oct 2011 and now I'm getting hooked on Find A Grave! Most weekends will find me photographing in one of the many cemeteries near by. I don't know how long this latest addiction will last, but for now I am loving exploring and photographing.
So much so, that I'm lagging behind in getting photos uploaded. If I've created a memorial though it means I do have a photo and plan to upload it as time permits. Please ask if you don't see a photo for a memorial you're interested in and I'll be glad to upload it right away!
VOLUNTEER PHOTO NOTES: The photos that I take of memorials are yours, they are for you. You do not need to ask my permission to use them.

I walked the cemetery looking at stones and found mine. Someone must have the records, probably living in the area, but who?? I found my family years ago and had help from cousins in the area, now dead. I live on the west coast so no help from here. Check with the Benton County Historical Society in Sauk Rapids, I found them by Googling them.

You've taken pics of the grave of my great-grandparents buried in the Milltown Cemetery. I have birth and death data which is missing on the online database record. I'd like to add that. Can you help?

Some time ago you emailed me concerning the headstone for Cristina Soderberg in the West Sweden Cemetery which lists dates that don't quite match what I have on the find-a-grave Memorial #6166928. I got her date of birth from an undated obituary that my mother in law had and tried to calculate the year of her death based on information in the obituary. It is quite a long obit so I haven't posted it to the memorial. I feel that this very well may be the same person. Were there nearby graves for her husband Peter who dies in 1923 or son Hugo in 1942? She also lost a daughter Sophie in 1927.

You are wonderful! Thank you so much. No editing needed as far as I can tell. Merry Christmas!

I just want to thank you for all the massive efforts you have given to documenting the grave sites and cemeteries of Polk and Burnett counties. As I go through I have noted all those that previously had nothing. You are an angel! God bless you for all your time and effort and I for one would like to thank you for all your time and activity. Hugs!
