Hello! I was just wondering if you could identify the two women in the photo you posted on Anna Crawford Kimsey's memorial.

RE: Mrs. Clem Huppert
Thanks. I'm trying to complete all memorials in Big River & Cherma with photos, obits & data.

BTW, Melva's memorial lists her as Thom when her last name when she died was Huppert - even her obit called her Mrs. Clem Huppert. Can that be changed so she's Melva Gertrude Armbruster Thom Huppert? I have this same situation with other memorials I'm managing - that they have several marriages. I put both married names together in the married surname spot. Do you have any recommendations?

Thanks again for all your work on findagrave.

RE: Seivert/Sivert
I have taken pictures of most of the graves at St. Mary's, I'm just trying to clean up the information first to see what I have & need in regards to photos & obituaries - then I'll be visiting cousins with my laptop & scanner. This cemetery has big connections to St. Martins in Cherma & St. Joseph's in Prescott. I'll be working on these cemeteries. These cemeteries are where most of my dad's family are buried.

I'm also going to work on the Lund Mission Covenant Cemetery, the Old & New Sabylund Cemeteries and the Oakland Cemetery in the Lund & Stockholm area - this is where my mom's family are buried. People have been good in transferring memorials to make linking & adding eaiser - so memorials are consistant. There are other great people who are making changes daily when I post them - to help out in these cemeteries too. Findagrave is such a wonderful site.

So if you have any burials in these cemeteries, you're probably related to me. Thanks again for all your work on findagrave.

RE: Seivert/Sivert
Thanks Barb, if I come across more, I'll keep you posted. My goal this year is to update and/or list every burial at St. Mary's in Big River & St. Martin's in Cherma and include photos, obituaries, (where available) full data & link them to their families. Are you related & have family connections to these churches? I'm related to most of the burials in Cherma & over half of the burials in Big River. Findagrave is such a worthwhile legacy we can leave future generations. Take care & thanks for your work on findagrave too. Chris Falteisek

RE: Seivert/Sivert
Thanks for your response. What I have learned from the St. Mary's records is - if a person did not have their funeral in the church and was not also buried from the church, they were not listed in the death records. But at St. Mary's, I have found several memorial gravestones where people are not buried here, but have a memorial gravestone - that could be the case for his gravestone in SD. It would make sense that Matthias was buried next to all three of his wives in Big River...especially if he is listed in the death records. For other burials, I have set up duplicate memorials for the same person and listed that in the notes in the biography section. Then if descendants in the future are looking, they can see the markers for both places. I do that being I have an original record for his burial - but I think you could acknowledge him there too...

RE: Seivert/Sivert
Thanks for all your work on findagrave. You have Mathias Seivert buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Eklton, SD - Find A Grave Memorial# 83439268 He should be buried at St. Mary's Cemetery in Big River, Wisconsin. I have his burial record from St. Mary's Church in Big River. It says he was 81, and died on October 29 and was buried on November 1. Years ago a cousin gave the place of death as Dakota County, MN - I can't prove that, so I will delete that from my info. Being the Church records say he was 81 when he died in 1910, it would make his birth year as 1829. I don't have the documentation for that. Do you? I know he had three wives & the correct wives are linked to him. Do you want to 1. either change the cemetery or 2. let me create a new one memorial to add to his wives before you delete your memorial. Thanks again for all your help. Just trying to get to the bottom of this mystery. Chris
