I am a future resident of The Great Mausoleum of Forest Lawn, in Glendale, California. My niche (20817) faces W.C. Fields in the Columbarium of Nativity. I used to leave flowers for my Mother and W.C. every other week until Michael Jackson and his fans moved onto the premises, lol. I enjoy the history and art of cemeteries, and photographing them. This was my first statue, "The Butterfly Baby", by Bruno Pattorino. It sits in the Columbarium of Security on Gardenia Terrace of the Great Mausoleum. [Click on this photo to enlarge]. I also have an original statue of "Cupid's Choice" by Donatello Gabbrielli in the Hall of Inspiration (Holly Terrace) that is adjacent to the Columbarium of Nativity where my Mom is inurned and where I will be with her one day. I also have a bronze statue of "The Rising Sun" by Adolph Weinman in the Columbarium of Sanctuaries next to The Last Supper stained glass window on Memorial Terrace, Court of Honor. I recently purchased my fourth statue (marble) of "Little Friends" by Pietro Bazanti, (on Holly Terrace), and dedicated it to my late neighbor and friend, LaVonne Rose Potter. It stands in the Sanctuary of Redemption atop the grand staircase leading from The Last Supper stained glass window up to my niche in the Columbarium of Nativity (Holly Terrace). Hello Friend, Thanks for sponsoring these two fine boys, Billy & Cole, taken from us much too soon. It is their Angel Day today. That is a wonderful statue of The baby with butterfly. You are very talented. Best Regards: Jeannie

Hello Mr. Eastman:
Just want to thank you for sponsoring this listing. Are the photos you've added of the actual Mrs. Green?

Thank you for your reply, I only just noticed it, they used to let you know when a reply was in.I would like to see your pictures. I think the best e-mail to use would be; email@example.com The yesac mail is only used on the Find A Grave site. Talking of statues, Captain Smith of the Titanic had a statue made of himself standing proudly on the bridge , it was for display in his home town on Stoke. However, after the Titanic sank they didn't want it so it was stuck in a remote corner of some park up north , under the trees, where the birds all did their business. Looks a sad but strangely comical sight now. My favourite statues are the little cherubs and those in the animal cemetery at Ilford. I look forward to seeing your work
Are you a professional photographer? We have many fine statues in the various cemeteries and Cathedrals of England and nobody seems to bother to photograph or catalogue them. It's an area that is badly neglected. I think people like you serve an admiral purpose historically. You'll have to publish a book. America is very lucky.

David, A number of years ago I would take random photos in the GM (before MJ) and on several trips I took one of your Mom's tablet. It always seem to catch my eye and recall each time being greeted by her beautiful smile! What a nice tribute you have given her. I was looking for a Margaret Smith at FLG and typed in Mar Smith and I was delighted to see that smile. This is the first time I actually read what was written and realized it was not just a rewrite of an obit but so very touching and special. I love the poem!

I have been SO curious as to where Marvin Gaye's father is buried, since Holy Cross say he is not there, that I made a trip to the county registrar's office this morning and looked up his death certificate. I now know where he really is buried and went to it today. I want to tell you and then you can change the memorial. Should I send you another message here??
So very kind of you to sponsor this memorial.
