A native of Louisville, Kentucky, I've lived since 1998 in the Licking River Historic District of Covington directly across the Ohio River from Cincinnati, and have spent much of my time on Find A Grave documenting the Grabinschriften of the German immigrants who settled so heavily throughout the Ohio River Valley. My favorite German connection is through my 9th-great-grandmother Marthe, Madame de Rocoulle (c.1655-1741), who was a Hofdame at the Berlin court of Friedrich Wilhelm von Preußen (1688-1740) and Sophia Dorothea von Hannover (1687-1757) and was the governess of their son Friedrich der Große (1712-1786).|
One of my favorite finds has been locating the grave site of my 4th-great-grandmother Sarah Ann Timberlake Woodfin (1809-1855), who was a victim of a yellow fever epidemic in Norfolk, Virginia, and was a 5th-great-granddaughter of Thomas Symes (c.1621-1670) and his wife Amy Bridges Symes (c.1624-1662), who were buried in the chancel of St Michael's Church in South Gloucestershire, England.

|Jim Forcum||Menninger family of Linden Grove|
I wanted to compliment you on the excellent work you have done on the Menninger family in Linden Grove Cemetery, Covington, Kenton Co., KY!! Apparently most were originally buried in Linden Grove and then moved to Highland Cemetery in Ft. Thomas.
Specifically, I am talking about your “William Adam Menninger 131058419” and his family.
I was just getting ready to create a memorial to your William Adam Menninger, and as always I checked Find-A-Grave, and found your site.
Todd, I was in Highland Cemetery about the time you were creating these memorials. There I took pictures of the gravestones from this Menninger family. I do not want to step on your toes, and would like to send you the pictures I have from Highland.
I have pictures of the following headstones all together at Highland:
William Adam Menninger and his wife Johanna
Joseph Nicholas Menninger and his wife Tessie Mabel Kennedy
August W. "Gus" Menninger (1866-1914)
Alfred Menninger (1875- 1919)
George and Andrew Menninger (on one stone)
Charles Menninger (1858-1895)
Todd, I would like to send these pictures to you so you can construct the appropriate memorials. Write me at Forcumjr@aol.com, so I can respond and attach the pictures. Oh yes, but sure to remind me of the above list so I can keep them all straight.
Oops, I almost forgot, I have a printout from Highland Cemetery of all the Menninger from this family. I can scan this and send it to you also.

The burial date of Feb 1886 is correct. Maurice remarried a Dr. Sarah Iliff and fathered a son, Maurice J. Dudley who was born Jun 9, 1888 and shows up in the 1900 census living on 10th in Covington with his mother. Mother and son were buried in Spring Grove Cemetery.

Todd, Thank you very much, I have made the correction.

At Olive Branch. It took me a while to find the picture as I didn't have a memorial number, but I deleted the picture. Sorry about that.

You are most welcome! I'm always so happy to get the links and additional info! I research most of my memorials, but can't always make the right connections...so your info was a treat!
