RE: Charles Steen, Sr.
Yes, Daisy Lillie Steen married Marshall M. Morgan (1889-1984). They married on March 8, 1915 in Louisiana. They had four children that I know of: Marshal, Jr., Bernard, Elizabeth and Evelyn.

On the 1920 census they were living in Pascagoula, Jackson, Mississippi; 1930 census living in Houston, Harris, Texas (quite a few of the Steen's went there), but by 1935 they were back in Louisiana living in Vermilion Parish where they also appeared on the 1940 census.

I have a comment on my family tree about Daisy and Marshall that they must have divorced sometime after the 1940 census but before 1950:

"Marshall and Daisy must have divorced as it appears that he remarried sometime after the 1940 census was taken but before a nephew by his 2nd marriage was born in 1950 (see comments)*"

*Someone left this comment on my tree about Marshall, Sr.

"Marshall M. Morgan's 2nd Wife Evelyn: Marshall "Mac" Morgan was married to my mother's sister Evelyn Nelson. "Nelson" was her maiden name. Evelyn was the daughter of Sandy Alexander Nelson and Mary Findlay from Alabama. Evelyn was married once before she married Mac. I think her first husband was named George but I can't remember his last name. Her first husband died before she married Mac Morgan. I don't know the date that Evelyn married Mac, but I know it was before I was born in 1950. I have very fond childhood memories of Mac Morgan. He was my favorite uncle even though he was not my blood uncle. He was a wonderful person!"

Marshall's parents were John Y. Morgan and Marguerite (maiden name unknown).

Marshall born Jan 1, 1889 in Scranton, Jackson Co., Mississippi and died Jan 1, 1984 in Pascagoula, Jackson Co., Mississippi.

Daisy Steen was my 2nd cousin, 3x removed so we didn't go much further on research for Marshall.

Hope this helps.

T.

RE: Johnson, John OTC - your claim
:). He probably doesn't have one anyway since the project is pretty much done at the cemetery.

Johnson, John OTC - your claim
Hi there...did you get an actual grave number for him? That's a hill area but if he is low on the hill, I might try to get the photo the next time I go. Sorry your claim expired. :(

Hope all is well !!!!!

RE: Hey
Hey. Nice to hear from you. You sound busy.
I've gotten a little graveing in, but now I'm swamped had to build 16 feet of drawer and shelf units for the garage, now starting a remodel of the front half of the motorbike. We looked at buying a new one but in the end just didn't want to spend that kind of money so figured I would change it to suit us better. Other than that I have been getting the garden ready and expanded. Always busy. LOL. We are planning to get out of town for the golf tournament. Try to avoid all that craziness. I see that all the cemeteries have a lot of requests now days. There have been a couple of new people out there, but they don't seem to be making a dent yet.

Keep in touch

RE: Hi
Hi - I figured you were busy! As for me, I'm just plodding along, doing great for 75 years old. I'm still working on my Adlers - Valentin Adler family of Weatherford, Oklahoma - and with the help of a lovely lady named Anna Hayes, she's transferred her Adler memorials Adlers to me. It has actually been exciting! Valentin Adler is a first cousin born way back in 1830 in Kolb, Russia. Glad to hear from you, and you sound happy - that's good!...Judi

RE: Hello
Hey Hey, Good to hear from you and that are happy, busy and having loads of fun with family and friends. THAT comes FIRST. I've been going to email you and ask how you were doing so you beat me to the punch...as usual..hehehe.

Doing good. Plugging away at claiming but don't want to overwhelm Chris or Linda. So ask for a couple at a time.

I'm sure the boys have grown. Will look for photos when you have a chance.

Have some news so I will email it.

Later too!!!
