Bio and Links
Bio Photo I belong to the Lower Wisconsin River Genealogical and Historical Research Center out of Wauzeka, WI,
(LWR for short, see website link below).
I have always been a graver and I have walked countless cemeteries and have studied the subject for decades. My cemetery interests started when I was maybe 8 years old if not before. I am now in my 60s and live in southwest Wisconsin.
My files are constantly growing and the work continues. I am also big into local history where I live. I will do additions, corrections, link ups and transfers upon request, but PLEASE provide memorial numbers for such services.

The only truly dead are those who have been forgotten.

James William McKeown - Obituary
James W. McKeown, 75, resident of this community all his life, died last Friday at the Mrs. Margaret Hennessy home east of Chatfield. He had been ill for some time.
Funeral services were conducted at the home Monday, Rev. William F. Coleman officiating, and burial was in the Saratoga cemetery.
James William McKeown was born here March 16, 1861. He was married to Laura Turk in Wisconsin March 16, 1888.
Surviving relatives are a daughter, Evelyn, of Cincinnati; a brother, Joseph, Wannawec, Wis., and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Watts, St. Charles, and Mrs. Rebecca Doyle, Chatfield.
There is a discrepancy with the marriage date.
But, other family documentation says he married Laura and had a daughter Evelyn.
Appreciated your help and thank you for making her headstone picture available.

Thank you so much! I am a volunteer also and know how difficult it can be to find graves. This stone is in pretty good shape.

Mr.Coberly, In searching for Myers in the Boscobel cemetery, I found a typo for: Bernard Donald Meyer #88659951.

Death Date reads: 1873 and should be 1973.

Just a little boo-boo. Thanks for all the work that you do!

James Riley
Hi - I notice that you have two James Rileys at the Union Hill cemetery. I believe that they are father and son, and the white one, # 72063339
is actually James Riley born 1814. I only have a note that he died about 1887 and was married to Elizabeth Toney. I can't really read the headstone but it looks like the death date ends in a "7". This is just FYI, not sure what can be done about it. Thanks, Dee
