I belong to the Lower Wisconsin River Genealogical and Historical Research Center(LWR) out of Wauzeka, WI,(see website link below).|
I have always been a graver and I have walked countless cemeteries and have studied the subject for decades. My cemetery interests started when I was maybe 8 years old if not before. I am now in my 60s and live in southwest Wisconsin.
My files are constantly growing and the work continues. I am also big into local history where I live. I will do additions, corrections, link ups and transfers upon request, but PLEASE provide memorial numbers for such services and use the Edit tab on the memorials for such requests.
The only truly dead are those who have been forgotten.
Thus quoth the Raven " Nevermore!"

Thank you so much for the transfer of Emma (Find A Grave#71660920). I have linked the little girl with her mother and a brother now and added additional information. This is the rewarding part of research don't you agree?

If you ever come across a Bridget Hunt who died around 1862, I've been looking for her for years. I think she was more in the Sun Prairie area though.

Can you give me any further info on Thomas Colby?
I have them on 1880 Marietta, Crawford Co, WI: his wife Mary aged 53 b Penns and husband Thomas W Colby 61 b NY, farmer. With them was her daughter Nettie E Davenport 20 b Ohio, school teacher, her parents both b PA.
Would his name appear in any biographical notes in Wisconsin?
His wife Mary b 1830 in Williamsport Penns maybe well have been a 2nd wife to him...their marriage August 13, 1871 Green Co, Wisconsin. Mary appears to have married 4 times.
1st Unknown Davenport abt 1852, 2nd Colby, 3rd Unknown Whitmore and 4th James M Covert at January 19, 1887 in Green Co, WI.
Thank You for any leads...
