Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.

I posted a photograph to this memorial. The marker is high gloss black with very little color contrast between the glossy and etched areas. After attempting to photograph the marker from several angles and distances, I posted the photograph that best showed the writing. I would suggest that you repost your photo request in hopes that someone can capture a better image.

St. Charles cemetery near Maple Lake, Minnesota
I have photographed the cemetery in its entirety and unfortunately there is only one McDonald monument. That is Frank McDonald and from the dates could easily be Anna and Frank Sr. child.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

It is always a very sad thing to see an unmarked grave. If it is any consultation, know that this particular cemetery is an old and very crowded cemetery. There are literally thousands of old, unmarked graves. Cheer up! Clayton
Hi I noticed that you have left flowers for the Benzels in Nicholson cemetery. Am wondering if they are family and if so and if you would like them transferred to you.

Please remove the cemetery picture of Oakland Cemetery for Sarah Ann Sims Robinson. She is not buried with her husband at Oakland Cemetery but is buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Boone County, MO.
Thanks a bunch,

I returned today and walked thru twice there are no markers with her name married or maiden, beings she died after John I looked in other plots maybe related to her no luck. I did find a Frank De Villis died Dec 28 1912 I do not know if he is related to Victoria as I thought this was the spelling on her maiden name I will send his photo if you want via E mail, Thank You June A
