A big "Thank You" goes out to everyone who sends any info and links for the memorials I've added. I regret that I cannot thank each of you individually, although with the new Edit system you now get computer-generated acknowledgements that your suggested changes and/or additions have been accepted. |
I got interested in Family History in 2007, and in 2008 and 2009 visited hundreds of my "dead relatives", as my wife so descriptively put it. (I did meet many live ones, too.) Most of the graves I visited were close relatives of my great-grandparents and one great-great-grandmother: their siblings, aunts and grand-aunts, uncles and grand-uncles, and first and second cousins.
My great-grandfathers were:
James McCullough Minteer, Jr.
Joseph Warner Wright
Marsh K. Renshaw
Robert John Woods, Jr.
Feel free to use any of my grave marker photos any way that you want to, as few (if any) of them have any artistic value which might be covered by the intent of the Copyright clause in the Constitution. (Please note, however, that this only applies to photos with my name under them. For any others, you will need to contact the person who added them for their permission to copy and use elsewhere.)

|Paul Scheidler||Thomas Ackerman Milford Cemetery|
Hello, my name is Paul and I am a retired Army Officer researching Veterans buried in Michigan from the War with Mexico. Thomas F. Ackerman was born in 1830 and was 18 when he enlisted in the 1st Michigan Volunteer Infantry and marched off to Mexico in February 1848 as part of Company I. He returned and recieved a pension for his time overseas. I live right near Milford so I may visit his grave for Memorial Day.
Thanks for recording him.

you have an entry for a J.W. Cunningham no birth date and a death date of Sept. 10 1910. I believe you have mixed up the father for the son. I have checked and rechecked the paper records at mountview cem. and find no "J.W.Cunningsm" (just initials) but I do find a Jessie D Cunningham (D stands for Donovan who died on Sept. 9 1910 and has a head stone which I have uploaded to the site you labeled J.W. Cunningham. In the paper record Jesse D Cunningham is listed as having a father J.W. so I'm wondering if that is where you might have mislabeled the grave. The Cunninghams (my great grandparents) had several children that died as infants or young children and it seems if they died in infancy they named them all "Jesse".
Let me know your thoughts and if you believe that J.W. is not a mislabel then please feel free to delete the photo.

Rob thank you for your work. I have been trying to edit Ruth Strathern's site and realized you had added it. I added her parents who are my grandparents and thought I added Ruth too. If you would not mind transferring Ruth (96759369) to me Ardith Smith (47365316) I would appreciate it. Thank you

Thanks for checking. I found a death record fairly easily, and am designating this marker at a cenotaph. Any changes I have made on her husband's page should reflect on yours.

Hey Rob. What a pleasant surprise to learn of a new relative. I'm not sure of our connection, but my grandfather (Everett Bowman) and Raymond Bowman were brothers. I'm really anxious to share information with you. Looking forward to hearing from you. You can reply directly to my Hotmail address: Mouseketeer19@hotmail.com.

The memorial for Lela Bedford #101262689 is wrong. The correct memorial is 11604530. It has a photo of her grave. Same name cemetery, but different county. She is buried with her family in Cisco. I am also related to McCleskeys and have a photo of her in early years. That's why I have been chasing her down.
