Samarius Lee
I went to Hazel Grove Cemetery today. It is located on private property and the landowner gave me a paper with information on the cemetery. I did not find a stone with the name Samarius, however, I did find a stone for Furman Lee. The paper given me by the landowner states that Samarius is on the same stone as Furman. This stone was laying on the ground and was frozen in place so I wasn't able to check all sides of it. I'm not sure if this info is correct or not. The Furman Lee stone has been posted on Furman's memorial. When it's warmer I may try to check it again.

I'm going to try some calls to the CT Water people, thought it may be difficult to get permission because it is part of the public water supply, and I suspect Homeland Security is involved in this.

I haven't totally given up yet. I'll try a couple of phone calls and see if I make any progress with them. A letter from a descendant to the Dept. of Public Health would go a long way to getting permission for me to be allowed in.

Joseph Hill, Beallsville Cemetery
Hi Suzy,
I saw the memorial that you created recently for Joseph Hill in Beallsville Cemetery, Washington County and am curious to know if you have more information. I have spent the last 10 years documenting the cemetery and the earliest burial there was in 1823. I am also a decendant of the Hill family from that area and have extensive research on the family and can't find a Joseph Hill that matches the 1807 death date. The Hill family in Beallsville came from Ireland so I'm also confused about the Germany birth location. There is a Beallsville Cemetery in Ohio and I'm wondering if it is possible that this Joseph Hill is buried there instead. Any additional information you can provide about the source of your information would be most helpful.
Thanks,
Debbie Hill Day

No, I meant Alice West and John Mather Foster. I just now saw John's headstone at Cumberland Cemetery in Cumberland, Ohio. I'm not sure Alice is there.

Have photos of Mr. and Mrs. Mather? I don't. Do you know where they are buried? And I have a request in for photos of Timothy and Lois' headstones.
