THIS IS A CEMETERY
Lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families are reunited - memories are made tangible - and life is undisguised. This is a cemetery.
Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.
Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life - not death - of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.
A cemetery is a history of people - a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.

Hi, Cheryl----Just out of curiosity, how do your Slagle's and my Slagle's connect? Right off hand, I don't remember the names of Uncle Frank's parents (I think I have it in my book), but I do know that they lived around Hubbell NE. There was a tornado near Hubbell and they were both injured and possibly died of their injuries. That would have been in the 1920s or 1930s. I always loved family reunions when I was a child because Uncle Frank always had such a great sense of humor!! Melvin was a lot like his dad!! :) Melvin's mother, my grandmother's sister, had more of a sense of humor than a couple of her siblings did. I hated it when they moved to Colorado......I never saw them again. :(
