John has been a genealogy hobbyist since 1990, and although he grew up in Texas, he considers Columbus, Georgia, "the old homeplace." He is also passionate about theater, particularly playwriting. He currently sits on the Executive Board for the Clapp's Factory Cemetery Preservation League (which he serves as President).|

Have it your way. It was the first time I had ever seen a ss# listed and I just thought it was odd. I don't really care so leave it.

John, the transfer of Edward Wilingham to you has been made as requested.

I did not mean it to sound critical at all- I saw the Talbot Co Ref. just letting you know I took the word of others too, and sometimes found out later it was wrong. Find a grave started out as Just a grave register, and later became a genealogy thing that folks get really upset and serious over. They expect too much of folks just sharing what they have. All of it is just a place to START.
I have a few folks there too. My cousin Mike Hooks Martin Patton, my Uncle Leonard Pridgeon etc.(The one in Columbus)

There were at least two Richard's there, and this could be either one- Father & Son Joined the Civil War. Father died 3 Nov 1862 Va-CSA born abt 1815. I have not searched out his son.
Gerry Hill-also a contributor to findagrave, and I do not research all of my graves either- just trying to correct an error I know about.

John, I appreciate your comments. However, for this particular memorial, it is mentioned that she was Baptist. Unlike many Christians, I try to make my personal actions more about Christ's commandment to love, than about "recruitment". My memorials are meant to honor the dead and comfort the living. Although I am sure I have made mistakes, I want my words to be relevant,so I look for clues of the person's faith.
I appreciate all of your work on Find A Grave, and love running across your memorials.
|Robert Brotherhood||RE: Mem. #139166943 Minnie (HARRS) TYNER|
The name HARRS is probably correct after all: I checked all HARRS entries on Findagrave with a gravestone and that spelling is also on the stones. So it is -contrary to expectation- an existing name.
In the cases that the stone did have HARRIS, I corrected the name.
Is there a gravestone for her and/or her parents?

Are you kin to Mariano Morales through his wife, Ruby, if so, how? She is my 1st cousin once removed and do not have you in my data base.
