Bio and Links
Bio Photo I love genealogy and am attempting to locate and link all of our family members and any others that I come across on Also tryng to add photos, vital records, census records and any other family photos that someone might enjoy.

I would like to thank all the people that have put my family on findagrave and have been kind enough to transfer my family memorials to me for management. Corrections are welcomed. Please use the edit tab on the memorial for suggestions.

If you copy pictures, markers or obituaries, etc. from my memorials, it is much appreciated and expected to include my memorial and findagrave name and number as the source.

"The Chosen"

We are the chosen. In each family there is one (or more) who seems called to find the ancestors. To put flesh on their bones and make them live again. To tell the family story and to feel that somehow they know and approve. Doing genealogy is not a cold gathering of facts but, instead, breathing life into all who have gone before. We are the story tellers of the tribe. All tribes (hopefully) have at least one. We have been called, as it were, by our genes. Those who have gone before cry out to us: Tell our story. So, we do. In finding them, we somehow find ourselves.

RE: Jacob and Agnes Ringler
Sorry. I posted markers for Jacob & Mary (Handwerk) Ringler erroneously on Jacob & Agnes Ringler pages and have deleted them. I will check later, but I do not think I have pics for Jacob & Agnes Ringler.

RE: Jacob and Agnes Ringler
No, I am not losing my mind although I responded with info for Jacob and Mary (Handwerk) Ringler rather than Jacob and Agnes Ringler.

I do not have close-up pics for Jacob and Agnes Ringler.

I do not have close-up photos but existing photo is clear enough to transcribe. I added transcriptions to Find A Grave sites for Jacob & Mary (HANDWERK) RINGLER.
Note death year change for Mary from 1895 to 1885.

Barbara - thanks for the temporary removal. Hope we can find out who Phebe's parents really were, be they Nathan/Lydia or other. A grandson of Nathan/Lydia (Danforth) had a daughter, Phebe, born in Stockbridge, but she was born in around 1811, I think (I'd have to check my records), but that's not anywhere near close to your Phebe's age. I've PLOWED through HUNDREDS of pages of Town records, and have been ALL OVER the Vermont Birth records, but still haven't found her. That doesn't mean she's not N/L daughter. We'll keep plugging away, I would LOVE to find another family member! (and therefore a current relative!) Bear with me. I've always got it in mind. (and I'm pretty good at finding these 'Strays.' Have another family member searching, too. BTW, many claims on who Nathan's parents are, but NEVER ANY VALID PROOF. Just word of mouth in other books like the one you cited.... and they're SO often wrong.... ONWARD, and thanks! Warmly, Victoria

Phebe Abbott Cleveland
Barbara, hello.

I have every record I could accumulate regarding the children of Nathan Abbott and Lydia Hatch. However, there is no documentation that I have found that connects a child by the name of Phebe.

They were married 10 October 1765 in Sturbridge, Massachusetts and youngest daughter, Thankful Abbott Parish, was born on 15 February, 1769 in Sturbridge, Windsor, Massachusetts, so it is pretty unlikely that another child was born within that year, (although possible.) HOWEVER - The family did not migrate to Stockbridge until 1787.

Unless you have some other documentation (besides any written genealogy - i.e. an actual birth or death record that cites her parentage), I believe this is not correct. I've done some very extensive research on this family, and I don't think your information is correct, and I would appreciate you removing her from this family line, which is my own. I find no records that show her as their daughter.

Warm regards.
