Still looking for all of them. We'll be glad to share with you any info we find. John and I have only been married for 10 mo. and I'm just beginning to dig. The last record of his mother Martha is on the 1940 census, just after he was born. I'll try to send it to you. Martha and Dorothy still lived at home with Charles and Martha. Charles Jr. is listed on the 1930 census as living at home.

My husband's birth-mother was Martha Ditzler, born Jan 13, 1924. Could Charles and Martha be my husband's grandparents?

|Stanley Weidenhammer||RE: Weidenhamer|
When you say Ellis Weidenhamer, are you referring to Lloyd Ellis Weidenhamer? If this is the person I am his, 4th cousin 2X removed. So Ellis and my grandfather would be exactly 4th cousins.
Is Isabel, Mary Isabel Ayres?
Is Jim, James Ellis Weidenhamer? If it is James Ellis I am his 5th cousin 1X removed. So my father and James are exactly 5th cousins.
You say, On fine a grave Watsontown cemetery page can IT be put on the other grave information.
I don't know what you mean by IT.
You then say, can be access by contact the Borough of Watsontown etc.
Can what be accessed?
Sorry maybe you can help me understand.

|Kathi Wertman||RE: Pictures|
Would love to see it the picture-unfortunately I have no pictures of them. They are 3rd cousins (I think) to my husband.
|Kathi Wertman||RE: Mary r Koons wertmen|
I'll have to look for that one. I like collecting local history books. Did you get the Messiah Lutheran Turbotville history book? We are selling at the store for $5.
I picked up a coupe of Lucas Brass's cemetery books at the flea market 2 weeks ago. Great find!
I posted your additions to Mary's memorial
|Kathi Wertman||RE: Wertman Koon house|
Its the brick house along the road on the right heading out of town before you get to Fisher's corner. His name is on the front of the house. I'll look for that picture. I can't remember who lives there now.
If you are local, you can meet me at the hardware store-Ficks. I'm the manager and live there most of the time.
|Kathi Wertman||RE: Mary r Koons wertmen|
Mary Rebecca is the daughter of Alexander & Sarah Guffy Koons. Written on the stone is Frank (Peter) Wertman 1850-1933, Mary R Koons, his wife 1850-1925, and daughter Sarah E Wertman 1873-1938. I believe they lived on 8th street drive in Watsontown in the brick farmhouse-the name Frank Wertman is in the bricks of the house. I have an old picture of it but I can't find it at the moment. Frank was baptized 10/26/1851 by Rev Boyer in their home. He was the son of Daniel & Erenan Shady (Shadt). In 1883 He was a councilman (he and his family were members at St. John's Lutheran Watsontown (the River Church)
The Koons family has been a thorn because of the spelling variations. I have tried off and on for years to get the branches tied in, but no luck yet. There are some scattered throughout the church records (from 1839 to now.) We are in the process of a 200 year history book that we hope will be out by March, which is full of the old records and a lot of pictures and info. Its in the proofing stage.
I couldn't answer much, but hope it helps. If you have any other questions, I'll help if I can! I can also email you the picture so you can read the names better.
