"They fought together as brothers in arms; they died together and now they sleep side by side...To them, we have a solemn obligation the obligation to ensure that their sacrifice will help make this a better and safer world in which to live."

In 2013 I completed a five year project traveling to Hawaii annually from the mainland to photograph headstones for all of our WW2 dead at the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl) in Honolulu. I have added over 10,000 photos to memorials at the cemetery. Prior to 2008, few of the memorials had headstone photos.

Lt. John Lambertson Jr (#133070696)
Hi, Regarding your photo request for Lt. Lambertson in Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ. I searched the online directory and he his not listed in this cemetery. It doesn't mean he's not there, just that he's not in the online directory. I looked at the memorial photo of the headstone request and saw that the request was for Arlington Cemetery in Arlington NJ. There is an Arlington Memorial Park in Kearny, NJ which is right down the road from Holy Cross and I believe a section of Kearny is/was known as Arlington. Perhaps Lt. Lambertson is buried there. Arlington Memorial Park, Kearny, NJ is in the Find-A-Grave cemetery list. There is another Arlington Cemetery in Pennsauken, NJ but I'm thinking that's not the one you want.

RE: PFC Edward W. Kaliske # 150942673
Thanks, Jeff, for the additional information.

I'm surprised that the local veterans group doesn't have a military marker for him - especially when he was KIA. I don't live in Marquette County, but I'll ask around where I live to see if I can get some information about doing that.

PFC Edward W. Kaliske # 150942673
I created a memorial today for PFC Edward W. Kalinske at Eastside Cemetery, Montello, WI. I used the link you sent me to verify that he was KIA in WWII.

If you have any other additional information on that you would like to add to Edward's memorial including DOB/DOD, please let me know.
