I contribute to Find A Grave because I know what a valuable resource it can be and I try to do the research to add to the memorial (although I am terribly far behind!). I spend ALOT of time in the local library searching for obituaries. I am a fan of the Flip Pal mobile scanner and recommend it to anyone. I started looking through books and old yearbooks and enjoy uploading headshots for my own as well as other memorials. I will gladly change information on memorials I have created if you provide your source of information and I check it out to be true. I will gladly accept any memorials that you do not wish to maintain, especially if there is research to be done on them.
If I have spent my time and money on a memorial, please consider that before asking me for a transfer. If you insist on a transfer, I now believe in the reciprocal transfer courtesy...if you want one, then offer me one. You first.
Note: Please feel free to use any photos that I have posted for your personal use or to upload to other websites such as Ancestry.com. Be careful using headshots or other personal photos that I did not take myself. I always quote my source in the caption of the photo. You may also use information found in the bio.

I can not find the source of the Bible records. I did have a book on SC Bible Records but have since donated it to local library. I do not know that this was included. I'm sorry.

Do you have info on a grave for St Clair Davant (1892-1904)?
He was a son of Thomas Stovall Davant- Find A Grave Memorial# 113224494
Mary Taylor- Find A Grave Memorial# 123011107
I was hoping to find him in the same cemetery.
The picture you have attached to Laura Benjamin (Find A Grave 33727390) is actually her daughter Laura Ann Benjamin Chapin who married Martin Chapin. I have added another picture I found of Laura Ann but would also welcome the picture you have added to that memorial also. At any rate you might want to remove it from Laura Benjamin. Thank you so much.

I just wanted to take a moment and thank you for all your contributions to the memorials on Find A Grave. You've matched up some neat items to the residents here, and many of them are key pieces of the family tree puzzle. Often, there are no remaining photos known to a family, and you come up with a portrait, that tells a thousand word story.
Thanks again. Your efforts are much appreciated.

PS: Please let me know when you've got your photo reloaded, so I can take down my duplicate memorial.

I'm in the process of removing a duplicate memorial of mine, that you uploaded a portrait shot from the South Carolina Portraits book.
If you go to Find A Grave Memorial# 66738310, you'll see your photo of Jane Taylor Beverly Sloan, who is actually Jane TAYLOE BEVERLEY Sloan.
Find A Graver 'Hope' actually created a memorial for her in 2005, so I need to move everything over to her memorial. If you still have the photo, or will download it from mine and upload it to Hope's, all will be squared away.
Please upload photo again to:

Oddly, when she passed her remains were sent home to Virginia to be buried with her parents. Her husband is buried in Elmwood in Columbia, SC.

Thank you so much for letting me work on this memorial. I typed the obit and deleted all the scans. I hope in the future you'll allow me to do the same thing with other memorials from time to time.

You are very welcome. Thank you for finding his marker and recording it!
|Beverly (Beth) Strickland||RE: Jonas Ely West|
I also have a 1900 Census data showing him and his wife Maggie in Fishing Creek NC. Which is in Warren County.
