Bio

My research is focused on the Ashbrook, Copeland, Gray, Wood, and related lines from northwest Missouri, especially Nodaway County. As I find information about their friends and neighbors, I have been adding it here so it can be found and used by their descendants, too.

I have compiled an index to the Skidmore Standard newspaper (Skidmore, Missouri) which covers the available issues of the paper from 1898-1904. An index to the Skidmore New Era newspaper (1905-1909) is in progress. I am in the process of posting index entries for the Skidmore Standard and daily highlights from all the Skidmore papers (Standard, New Era, and the Skidmore News) at www.nostoryuntold.com. If you have Skidmore, Missouri ancestors, I'd love to hear from you.

If I've created a memorial for one of your ancestors, please let me know. I'll be happy to add or update information or transfer the memorial to you within Find A Grave guidelines if the person is not in my family tree. Please send me a request letting me know that you'd like a transfer and how you are related to the person.

If you are requesting a transfer of a memorial, I will need to know your Find A Grave member ID and the names (and preferably memorial numbers) of the memorials in order to transfer the right memorial to the right person. It's easiest (for you and for me) to suggest corrections and changes from the Edit tab on the profile itself.

Please feel free to use the headstone photos I've taken and posted to Find A Grave in your family tree.
