My wife Carol & I enjoy searching for our own relatives. Carol comes from Jasonville IN: Stockrahm, Terhune, Crabtree, Shoptaw, Pirtle, Walker, are her lines. Mine in Philadelphia, PA. McCullough, Roney, Bradley, Waters. We are eager to fill our tree and will help others as we can. Our life takes us from VT to SC during the year.|
It is exciting digging up the our pasts and leading a hand to others as they search.

I have a lot of information I could fill in for you on the Colbys. Marjorie Colby is my great-grand mother, Farnhams, Chalmers. Milton Partington is my grandfather, and his mother is Amah Cunningham. I have pictures of a lot of the graves to.
John, we are distant cousins.
I plan on going up to VT in SEP/OCT to do more extensive genealogy. Are you on ancestry by any chance?

Thank you so much for taking time to take a picture! I have been searching for 15 years for this grave!

Sure I don't mind managing the Jones graves. I do have a connection, not close. If you would like to have me manage I willing.

I think the transfer would be great.
I live in Southern NH so I doubt I will be making a trip up north anytime soon. I'd love to find out where my gr-grandfather's 2nd wife is buried.
According to her records, she's supposed to be buried in Maidstone, but haven't found her yet.
She died 1965 in Stewartstown, NH.
I did live in (Springfield)Vermont for about 15 years, but moved back in the late 80's.
My parents still live there.
I often wondered if Lewis' grave was in the cemetery where his wife was located, but again, going by
death records you would think it would be accurate.
I'm having the same problem with his sister's burial location.
The families moved between Maidstone, Guildhall & Topsham,Vt & the Lancaster, NH areas.
Thank you in advance, you have been a great help in solving one more mystery of my family.

Sorry about the confusion. What I was hoping for was that the grave could be actually look at to determine what the grave says "Jones" or "Pillsbury", or maybe even a photo.
But it sound like your not doing that any more. And the weather back east doesn't look good either. I'm sorry.
All ways keep looking!

Hi John, I have a tree on Ancestry....I'll try to check and see what I have on that branch if anything. If you live close....you can go to the Sullivan County Historical Society ( I think that is what it's called) and ask about the PIRTLE book a Mr. Gambil had possession of a book that was researched by PIRTLE lady. I can't think of her name right now...Delcie Pirtle maybe!!!
Nice to hear from you and I will try to get back with you!!!
