Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised and work in northern Virginia. I'm a 65 year old Federal Government employee with 42 years of service. Almost ten years after its inception, I found this site quite by accident when a co-worker asked me to help him at lunch time take a photograph of a headstone that was overgrown with bushes. After that, I was hooked fulfilling photo requests, primarily at nearby Arlington National Cemetery.

Then it occurred to me that this would be a great place (free (thus far)) to document my family tree for all to see, which would be based on the extensive genealogical research that my aunt has been doing for the past 15 to 20 years. This project of linking thousands of memorials is going to take a very long time (if it's at all possible) to complete due to several memorial creators, totally unrelated to my family, who will neither transfer ownership nor respond to SAC edits. That is not to say that all memorial creators are like that. Indeed, most are very gracious and totally responsive, and for that, I whole-heartedly thank them.

If I have a memorial for one of your relatives or even someone else whose memorial you're willing to maintain, I'll gladly transfer ownership upon request. Please make your transfer request via the edit tab on the memorial page, and then SAC. I don't understand the reasoning behind many members wanting to hold on to memorials of folks they have no relation to, genetic or otherwise, when there are people willing to maintain them. Findagrave's guidelines are just that, guidelines. The logic behind the beyond-the-two-generation and non-direct-line transfer request guideline from multiple members is specious at best; those requesters would be related and should be able to work out maintenance issues better than the unrelated memorial creator.

You have my permission to use any of my photos, as long as you include attribution. (Please don't ask, just use them.)

Thanks for the bio correction. My great-grandmother was Delilie/Delilah Hettie McInturff (Hutcheson), daughter of Branson Lichliter McInturff & Delilah Hettie Ridenour (McInturff). Who are your ancestors?

RE: McEntarffers in Hamilton Cemetery
I'll try to get to the library tomorrow. Going to look up both sets of names and see what is going on. I looked up Daniel McEntarffer and it said that section and lot for all three... but then the names don't match... and some dates. I have a name and phone number that's been passed to me for the cemetery. I will give her a call after I run up to the library.

RE: McEntarffers in Hamilton Cemetery
Please tell me again which names you wanted photos for as I just wrote them down and by the spelling of the last name that's what I found in the book... I'll keep working on it.. I didn't find Issac even though the cemetery book said he was there.... something's really messed up, but I'll try to figure it out. Please let me know the names for the photo requests again. thanks!

RE: McEntarffers in Hamilton Cemetery
Trying to figure it out... the two pictures are from stones that are side by side and listed in the cemetery book - which told me where to find them.... going to take a long at the book at the library again and see if I can clear up the confusion......it's puzzling at best.

Photo requests for McEntarffers
We were going up to Hamilton (not far away) again to find a great grandfather...we looked last year and found lots of the family, but missed his and his father's!! Last week I was in our renovated library with our daughters and found a small genealogy room. Hamilton is split between DeKalb and Steuben counties... so there were two cemetery books for Steuben co there.... that's how I found where my great grandfather was!! I looked up your 3 requests and the map at the cemetery told us where to look last evening. It didn't take long to find either. There was no marker for Issac... not sure what to think. Both parents were there, but the name is spelled differently. That's why I find stones to create memorials and not records.. there's too many 'mistakes'.... even in my own family. My own mother's name is misspelled in different places. We took a pic of a stone beside them, but he name was definitely not the same... and the rest was hard to read. The other two I've posted this a.m. ... but you can see the last name is misspelled by the memorial.

Question..
I don't know how, but I was curious if there was a way to link Cleva with her sisters Peggy Joyce Christian Kneisel, Mary Sletha Christian Cantrell, Blanche Virginia Christian Ridenour & Bobbie Jane Christian Ross.

Douglas Ernst
David
My information is a bit sketchy but I believe (according to the obituary) that the Memorial Page I just established for Fred H Ernst is that of Doug's Father.
Please take a look. If you agree and want to ling the two of them Fred's Memorial Page number is 146452527.
