The stone in my photo says it all|
"This is Me"
This stone can be found in the Mentor City Cemetery, Mentor Ohio. It is part of a family plot towards the back of the cemetery. There is a main family stone and than this one. It's not the prettiest stone by far but the guy had a sense of humor. I smile everytime I see it.
Now to more Find A Grave stuff.
Please use the EDIT than SAC for the memorial if you want a transfer or need me to update some information on a memorial. Any corrections posted here in my messages will be DELETED and ignored.
Please use the SAC button on the memorial for:
Updates that need to be made to the memorial
for transfer of the memorial with a statement as to why you want to have the transfer made (family member, friend, military etc). If it falls outside of the Find A Grave rules, mamaquilts has the last say as to whether or not she'll transfer. She is very accomidating for transfers, unless it's a family member of hers(unless you fall closer than she does).
Please only send one request for transfer and give me time to respond. I am currently working and only do updates as I can.
Please Please Please
Give me time to make corrections. Do not send more than one correction per memorial with in 30 days unless it something that was forgotten in the previous SAC.
It takes me even more time to weed through extra emails because people were not good at waiting for me to take care of the edit.
I've had a couple of people send me 4, yes 4 edits in two days for the same info on the same memorial. And we're not talking Find A Grave doubling up on emails (that does happen from time to time).
Please remember that Find A Grave's rule is to give the memorial maintainer 30 days to make corrections.
I do have a life beyond this site.
I am within 30 days of making corrections.
UPDATE starting Oct 1 2013, I will be working many hours and will have a limited time to work on Find A Grave things until the first of Jan 2014. I will return at that time.
Jan 3rd 2014, I am more than 3 months (Oct 2013)behind on corrections and will try to catch up but do not know how long it will take me.

|Tom Black||Oscar Dyer (#69922932)|
I'm curious about your memorial for Oscar Dyer who you say was your GGG Grandfather.
On your memorial, you say that his wife was Hannah Harness Dyer. Several family trees on Ancestry say that Hannah Harness Dyer was the wife of William Dyer and was Oscar's mother. There is a memorial for Hannah Harness Dyer (1780-1847) in the same cemetery as the memorial for William. Her memorial is #126020235; William's is #126019907. Other family trees on Ancestry say that Oscar's mother was Hannah Stump.
Do you have information that can confirm one or the other? I'd appreciate any help you can give to me in solving this mystery.

|ARGibson||Bruner Family of Lake Co, Ohio|
Ira Bruner died 28 Oct 1915 - Death Cert shows he was buried at Mentor Cemetery - age 78.
Mariah (Loper) Bruner - died 19 Jun 1916 Death Cert shows she was buried in Mentor Cemetery - age 62. Wife of Ira Bruner who died on 28 Oct 1915.
Jessie L Bruner - died 2 Jun 1950 Burial at Mentor, son of Ira Bruner and Mariah Loper.
Ira Bruner - died 13 May 1923 age 16, hit by train. Son of Jessie L Bruner and Minnie Wilcox
If you compare these names with Memorial #'s 82828400, 82828401, 82828402, 82828403, they appear to be the same names but the death dates are way off. The 2 Ira Bruners are grandfather-grandson and I submitted the photo request but the volunteer emailed me back saying that he won't add any photos until the original memorial maker fixes the dates.
Your help in getting this figured out would be very much appreciated.

hello my name is Jerri and I am looking for information on a woman named Carolyn Watkins and You have her parents findagrave site, so I assume you are related to her. My mother Judith Ann Howard was her best friend in HS at Boswell. They were around Tom and Beulah a lot and I met Beulah when I was a young girl. I would appreciate it if you could contact me so I could find out for my father what ever became of Carolyn. My e-mail is Jhughes122@hotmail.com
I am also related through the watkins and shoafs that they married into through my father.

This is the wrong headstone for this person.
Thank you, Richard.
|June Ford||lewis ford|
Are all the men in the picture Fords? I have been looking at this family for years and still can't figure out how they are related to my husband's ancestors - but I'm sure they are. A few years ago a descendant of Jared P. Ford put out information that his father was Warner, but he had confused Jared P with Jarrett. I've accumulated a lot of paper and still don't know Jared's father or his relationship to our John who married Delilah Tevis in Clark Co KY in 1822. But I'm certain there is a connection and would sure like to find someone who has the key! Would share actual information as well as speculation if anyone is interested!

|June Clement Wood||Janet Mitchell deceased Oct 2009|
I see you have entered Janet on Find A Grave. I wonder if you could tell me if she was married to Dr. Howard S. Mitchell?
I graduated with Janet Miller Mitchell in Erie, Strong Vincent HS, class of 1954 and would like to know if you know of an obit for her too. I would like to have one for our memory book.
Any information you have would be great.
Thanks, June Clement Wood (firstname.lastname@example.org)
