Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Luwana Potter Hobby. I have been married to Michael for 30 years. We have 2 teenage sons, Adam and Clayton. Oh yeah...we also have Buddy, our Boston Terrier.

Genealogy is my passion. I love digging up "bones" so to speak. I lost my dad when I was 9, he lost his mom at 2. That gave me the passion to want to find my roots. To me there is no end.

RE: Young Family
Hi, I was wondering if you had any information on the Young's that are buried in the same cemetery as Ethel Young? There is a James Arthur Young born 1900, and her grandfather's name was Arthur, so I was wondering if it was her brother or other relative?

RE: John T. Childs
Hello-Saw you'd left a note on the memorial page about John Childs being your 3rd great-grandfather. I'm also a descendant from him through his son, Robert. Robert married Susannah Marshall and their daughter, Mary Catherine (Kate) was my great-grandmother. Just wondering which of John Child's children that you're descended from. Have been doing some research and trying to find out a little more info and any photos of the Childs family--haven't had much luck so far. Wondering if you had any about the parents of John Childs. If there's anything I know about and can share with you, I'll be more than happy to. Thanks and have a nice day.

John Tilmon Childs
Hello-Saw that you'd left a note saying that John T. Childs was your 3rd great-grandfather. I'm also related to him through his son, Robert Childs. Robert married Susannah Marshall and their daughter, Mary Catherine (Kate) is my great-grandmother. Which of John's children are you a descendant of? I've been searching for some family photos and more info regarding the Childs/Chiles family and wondering if you had anything to share. I have been able to visit the grave site of Robert Childs, but haven't seen the cemetery where his parents are buried. If there's anything I can share with you (and if I have the info),I'll be more than happy to. Thanks and have a nice day!

RE: Young Family
It's so nice to hear from you! I've been looking for some of Ethel's relatives for a long time. I would love to have the children's names, and also anything else you might know about them. I've been looking for Gwen (sp?) Young and his family too. You can message me here or privately at: I have a family tree on (free) and I'll send you an invite, if you like, to look at all I have on the Young's and Woodward's (and you can see if I have it right). Also have lots of info on Cochran's and Parker's. My mother was a Parker, and her great grandmother was a Cochran that married a Parker. Looking forward to hearing from you!
