it is because of my precious mother that I became interested in Family History, Family was most important to her. That passion was taken away from her. And we were framed.|
Regarding Transfer Requests:

LOL...I just now found your message letting me know you were happy to see me back! So sorry I've missed seeing it all these years. Yes, I was taking care of an 88 year old cousin who passed away in October 2010.

Thank you, Carolyn. I am actually distantly connected with James Overton Hill's 3rd wife, Mary Parolee "Minnie" Woolley. (she was my 3rd cousin 3X removed! ha!) Anyway, I had stumbled on to Octa's story that you transcribed and put on Findagrave, and I was intrigued. She must have been a really interesting lady! Loved her story and it had so much info in it, love the way she described life back then.
I got involved in the Hill family search, trying to sort out James Overton Hill's many children ---and which ones belonged to each wife. I believe wife #1 died young, wife #2 died after giving birth to twins (Seems as though twins run in that family) and then my relative came along as wife #3.
Hope your hubby is recovering. I know how stressful that is. My hubby has had quad bypass surgery TWICE; I lost my mom, both in-laws and my youngest brother (he battled MS for 30 years) all 2011-2013. :(
Thanks for the info.
|Sandra Gwilliam||Thanks for the updates|
Thanks for the updates to Homer Oliver Smith's memorial. Thanks also for adding him to find a grave!
I appreciate your hard work and dedication to helping us find our ancestors. It is so much fun to see virtual family groups and pedigrees of our kin start to link together at find a grave thanks to dedicated volunteers like you. I am sure that your precious mother would be proud of what you are doing.
