I'm not closely related to the Gehles, so I don't have much additional information to share about them. I usually put most of what I know on Find A Grave in hopes of helping others. I'm sure you know how much genealogy research depends on everyone pitching in with what they can!

Hi,
The 1928 Missouri death certificate for Mary Louise Gehle listed her mother's name as Henrietta Garteman.
Since Mary L. Gehle's parents were listed as Ernst and Mary on census records, I didn't know which was right--Henrietta or Mary. Middle names were often listed instead of given names on old records, so I thought she might have been Mary Henrietta Garteman or Henrietta Mary Garteman.
If you have a preference for how you would like Mary L. Gehle's mother listed, please let me know and I will be happy to take care of that.

Hi Gloria,
My parents and Elwyn & Lucille knew each other while the men were in the Navy during WWII. We visited them several times over the years. Daddy and "Goodson" kept in touch all those years. Loved them both, they were so much fun.
Thank you for the correction on Lucille's maiden name. I want to make my information as correct as I can get it and I appreciate your assistance.

I got an email today w/ the correct info. I thought you sent it. Doris' memorial was a transfer so I assumed plot info was right. If you have time to look again, be sure to claim it so another person doesn't go out. I have had that happen before. When I checked Doris' memorial yesterday, I also checked Leo and there was a request for him, too. Maybe F/A/G has a glitch. | |
