Hi Dale ,keeping you posted. I delivered the headstones for John Franklin and Alice today, they will be installed this Friday. Then we will be off to deliver the last two. We are worn out but, feel just wonderful about this whole adventure. I will get a photo of them in place to you as soon as I can. I'm out of touch most places I go but will get back to you. Think I found the real burial place of Johns brother William, but need to go see for myself before I put it out there. Blessings to you, Darlene

Thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.
Doodlebug, so happy you are pleased. Ray & I were so happy to be able to do it. We are replacing or putting six stones on family this year and more next year. The good Lord willing and lets us finish this task. Everyone needs to be remembered. As you can see the stones are plain but will be placed with Love. Hope you are well, will get back to you soon. Darlene

Hi there Doodlebug ,just a stop by to let you know that the GG Grandparents will no longer be without headstones. By the end of May, we will be going to have them laid. They are being made now and are all paid for. That's a load off my mind, and I truly hope yours as well. Tomorrow I will try and put a paper copy on their memorial until they are laid in place. Hope all is well with you, and your health is good. Will get back to you soon.
Doodlebug, so good to hear from you. I am sorry to say I havn't received the photos, because I went to where William Higgins is buried yesterday. I was told by grave registration that he does not have a headstone because he is buried in the unknown grave . They said he was identified by someone, as to who he was and what unit he was with. He is on the honor roll for the state Ohio. We will be off again to Chattanooga in a few days hoping to find and locate our Higgins and my Hargraves line . I'm out of touch because we do not receive E-Mails at our place in Ky. I will let you know what I find out. Can hardly wait to see the photos you sent, when I return home about 3 or 4 weeks. Bye for now

Hello, I was at the cemetery today and didn't find a marker for Mary or Evelyn Higgins. I was looking for and found William Burt and checked for others that didn't have pictures while I was there. Thought you might want to know. Veloyce

DoodleBug, Glad you got the picture, like I said it wasn't the best but any little snippet makes my heart sing. I will be waiting to see what you are sending. I'm taking a couple days off myself. Have a wonderful day. Darlene
Hey DoodleBug ,I went through the box of pictures.
I found one of my grand mother Tootsie and a man called Jackson. My mother told me this story. My grandmother Tootsie was coming home one night when she heard moaning ,she went to look between buildings and found a man laying on the ground very sick, close to death. She got him up and took him home, cleaned him up, made some broth then put him in her bed. Ma said she slept on the floor on a pallet next to the bed and kept close to him for a week. When he recovered she got him a job . They stayed friends until his death many years later. My mom said he was loyal to Tootsie, and would do anything he could to help her. Believe it or not I shorted the story. I will upload the photo to Tootsie, see what you think

Doodlebug, I found another box of pictures and will be going through them in the morning, I started thinking on the man and something rang a bell with me . The Gals really liked taking pictures, so it's no easy task going through them. I'll be glad if I can answer the question.
