|Most of my ancestors were early settlers of Kentucky who migrated from Virginia and Maryland. |
Direct line surnames on my father's side include Holsclaw, Snawder, Harshfield, McDaniel, Buckman, Jones, Paulley, and Collins. My father's ancestors settled in Nelson, Bullitt, and Hardin Counties. Some family members later moved to Jefferson County.
Direct line surnames on my mother's side include Dennis, Taylor, Logsdon, Haycraft, Atterberry, Elliott, Wells, Richardson, Saltsman, and Craddock. My mother's ancestors settled in Grayson, Hart, Larue, and Hardin Counties. Some family members later moved to Jefferson County. A few wayward family members crossed the river and settled in Floyd and Harrison Counties in Indiana.
I also like to take time to pay respect and honor all veterans when I visit cemeteries in my area.

I think that Kasey Cemetery (Hardin County, Kentucky_ is the same cemetery as
Grandview Cemetery (Breckinridge County, Kentucky)
your memorial for Florentine Brown seems to be the same person in both cemetieries.
Could you please check out your memorials for that cemetery. Thanks. I just stumbled upon this today and have no answer for it, except,
at some point Find A Grave needs to straighten out the name and location of the cemetery. I would appreciate hearing from you...your thoughts??

Do you mind changing her mother's name in your narrative to "Mary Alice" not Mary Ann? Mary Alice was my great great grandmother.

|Roxanne and Charlie||Sarah Stivers gravestone|
I just came across your photo of Sarah Stivers gravestone. She is my Great grandmother. I took a photo of her marker several years ago, but it had so much crud on it , it is hard to make it out. How did you clean it up, to get such a good clear picture ?
Thank you !

I am Henry's great great granddaughter. I was wondering if you would be willing to help me locate his headstone. When I was a teenager I remember seeing it on top of the ridge between Bearcamp Road and Brooks Hill Road. I am on find a grave or you email me at email@example.com. All help would be appreciated.

|Pat Payne||Trunnell Bowman Cemetery|
Thanks Doug, for all your work documenting the Trunnell Bowman Cemetery in Bullitt County, KY for Find-A-Grave. I had searched for years for the location of the graves of my Trunnell ancestors in Bullitt County and with the help of friends and researchers there, we finally located this cemetery off Chapeze Lane on Aqua Springs road. With a great deal of help from the Bullitt County History Museum and many volunteers, we were able to arrange for cleanup and repair of the Trunnell-Bowman Cemetery. The Cemetery was fenced, graves repaired and grass was planted. We had a wonderful Dedication ceremony at the Cemetery and a tour of the nearby Trunnell house.
I have a lot of information and pictures on the people in the cemetery that I would like to add to their memorials. I am glad that you found my website (http://www.freewebs.com/trunnell/origins.htm) and added some info from it to the memorial of my greatgrandfather, Henry Trunnell.
I also have info on at least 4 additional people who are buried there that I would like to add to the cemetery. Would you consider letting me take over the management of this cemetery? If you are in agreement, you can reply to me privately at firstname.lastname@example.org so I can give you the memorial numbers, I hate to take up so much space in your public email space. Thanks!
