Bio Photo Nearly all of the memorials I have entered and flowers left are somehow related to our family, if you happen to be related would love to hear from you.
Most memorials I have created in CT cemeteries are not family and happy to transfer

Photo Requests
Many of us photo volunteers go out with a list of requests from a cemetery, and often from multiple cemeteries at once. When someone puts an unnecessary comment--such as "Thank you"--in the comment box, it puts an icon next to the name on the list. It takes extra time for us to go through all the requests that have icons next to them to see what is written in the comments box. When it is not information that is helpful for us in finding the grave, it is a waste of precious time--time which could be spent looking for graves.

It is good and proper to express your appreciation to a volunteer who fulfills a photo request for you, but the time to do that is after the request has been fulfilled, rather than a general "thanks in advance" that is less meaningful because it is expressed to no one in particular. Please leave the comments box blank unless you are going to use it for the intended purpose, which is to provide information that will help the volunteer find the grave.

All of your 237 requests have something written in the comments box, and it looks like all but of a few of them are merely "Thank you". The use of the notes box should be very rare.

Thanks for your consideration, and for making our job a little bit easier. :-)

Thank you very much, will try and do that next time. I thought maybe since I wasn't direct line you might want to do it this way. I loved her very much.

RE: Essig
How wonderful. I do a lot of supporting Veterans through donations etc. We need to honor them more for what they have done. My son-in-law is currently in the Army at Fort Hood of all places. Luckily he as home when the shooting occurred.

RE: Essig
What type of research project are you doing? Just curious. You may use the photo that is fine.

RE: Pettit
I looked in the newspaper at the library for him but there was no obituary. SSDI has his last place of residence listed as Salem, VA, so they may have not put an obituary in the area papers. I do not have access to the Johnson City Press archives so it could possibly be listed there. Sorry I wasn't able to find him.

You're welcome for the photos. Thank you for your nice message. It is fine with me if you use the photos for your personal family tree. Thank you for your consideration.
