Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born and raised in Angelina County, but I have been transplanted to Cherokee County since 2002. I am remarried into a 4 generations deep family from Wells, Tx.

I have always been interested in genealogy. My grandmother, Hazel Lacey Hawthorn, instilled an interest in visiting the cemeteries of our ancestors. She "schooled" me well in my history.
I am always intersted in receiving contacts from extended family members, especially those from my maternal family in Oklahoma.

I enjoy visiting cemeteries, but I love the ease to which findagrave.com has provided.
I am willing to transfer "loved ones" to you or make any corrections to the memorials. PLEASE USE THE EDIT TAB.

Viola Jane Smith

I'm not related to her. I was helping n a t belonging to a relative. There is quite bit of documentation her life in the way of census records etc.

I'll add a few things to the body of the memorial.

RE: Willis Price
Donna, the full obituary will be published tomorrow. Thank you for the reminder to create a memorial, and thank you, also, for your sympathies.

Lacey Family
Martha Ann Lacey-Parker was my 3rd Great Grandmother, making her father, William Randolph Lacey, my 4th Great Grandfather and his father, Captain James Lacey, my 5th Great Grandfather, (obviously lol).

I saw your contributions to the Lacey family and the photographs and I was wondering if you would be interested in meeting with me some time, or possibly visiting with me on the phone. I believe that I also have a photo of Martha Ann and Jesse Parker, and would really love to make copies of what you have, including any documents, if possible?
I would truly appreciate it...I live in Panola County, outside of Carthage.

Are you related to these families? If so we may have some ancestors in common.

Gosh what a mess!
I made her another pg in other cemetery but left first pg up with a note on it. Also put comments from you on the new pg. I would of course normally delete the first pg with obit, but if I do someone else will just come along and make a pg from the misguided obituary listing. After time passes, and perhaps someone adds a photo from Hendrick Cemetery, then we can go back and delete the first pg.

Thanks for letting me know!

RE: Mt Hope Pre Burial Markers
Donna, I think I've been to your Mt. Hope Cemetery only one time. I did not take a whole lot of photos there as some others have. Any names I may have RECENTLY placed there is either from obits, or a few of them may have been from the photos I took that one time I was there. Recently I've trying to clean off my camera cards of all the old photos I've held onto for whatever reason ... generally some like you say may not have had a death date so I kept it not knowing if they were deceased or not. Since time has passed I just added them rather than continue to hold onto them. And as I've done so I have found ones that are now deceased, others I still don't know about as I don't always have time to research every single name and as Find A Grave says "it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not". Actually by comparison to many others, I have not add "that" many pre-need entries.

IF I have added a pre-need for a family member of yours let me know and I'll transfer it to you and you can do with it as you wish.
