I have been researching my family genealogy for quite sometime, but have been a contributor of Find A Grave for a short time, compared to some of you out there.

On any of my memorials, if you see a mistake please let me know. I will not be offended, and will make the corrections. If I have any memorial posted and you are a relative of that person, I would be happy to transfer them to you. Most of my memorials are family members, some are not. They aren't trophies, so let's put them with their families.

RE: Scott's
Yes. My grandmother is a Scott. I sent information to Wilton Golson because while his bio says he's inactive, it's not true. He adds something if he feels like it, but generally he will not add where the person was born or died. He will sometimes add marriage dates if he's in the mood. His bio page says that you have to contact findagrave administration to get a transfer of a Memorial page. He does that because he knows that the odds are, you'll never get a reply or it will be months before you hear anything. Mr. Golson clings to every Memorial he types, and it BELONGS to him. It's HIS trophy, NOT your family. There's a few others like him.

I love the opportunity afforded us to honor our loved ones and our forbears, so I love the findagrave website. However, some contributors play games, and my ancestry is not a game for others to toy with. Therefore, I started creating Memorials with content because these are my people, my story, and I want to share that with other family members and researchers. If that means there's a duplicate, so be it.

DANIEL SOUTH LAURENS CO., SC
Hi,

I just saw your memorial for your ancestor Daniel South.

His wife was Margaret Leake. I'm researching the Leake line out there and descend from William Sr/Providence, their son, William Jr./Martha Simmons.

Margaret must fit into the William/Providence Leake family somewhere but I haven't found out where yet.

Would love to correspond with you by email so we can compare notes.

looking for photos of some Palmers
I am married to a desendant of the Palmers. His grandmother was Martha Jane Palmer who married Joe Sire Roberts. Her parents were William Russell Palmer and Susan Colona California Nichols. I was wondering if any of her brothers or sisters relatives would have some pictures of her to share. Thanks so much Marilyn

Marty Garrison
George Flowers Palmer
Hello my name is Marty Garrison. I am the grandson of George Russell Augustus Palmer and Vernie (Cason)Palmer. I am just starting to find some of my relatives. I noticed you posted a pic of George Flowers Palmer. Is the woman in the pic Elizabeth J. Palmer? Are you a long lost cousin? I have many questions, I hope you forgive me for asking them.

Thank you for your time,

Marty Garrison

My grandfather was Charles H Humphries, my father was Johnny Haston Humphries (son of Charles H Humphries and Bernice Murphy), I dont know alot abot my grandfathers side just that my great grandmothers name was Inez and according to the census record I have on ancestry that my Great grandfathers name was Chap or something along that lines, which looks like is Rubie's brother I believe.
