Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am a native Texan, born and reared in Northeast Texas. I have been researching my families for about thirty years, making me the family historian.
I have spent weeks, days, and hours in many states researching the courthouses and walking the cemeteries looking for my family.
Just recently I began placing memorials to my family members on findagrave; a wonderful website. The majority of my postings are my family.
I try to acquire photographs of my relatives; this makes me feel as if I actually know them.
I am a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas and genealogy is my passion.

Your tombstone stands among the rest
Neglected and alone
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished marble stone
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood and bone
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so
I wonder if you lived and loved
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot
And come to visit you

Doyce McGee Hamilton transfer
I have made the transfer of his memorial to you since you know him and I do not. Also linked him to his parents.

Wrixham and Roanna Jane( Jolliffe) McIlvain
Hello, Does anyone have information on this couple. They are my great great grandparents. They lived on Elk Creek near Pineville, McDonald County MO on the 1870 census but I don't know exactly when the family moved to Texas. I have fairly accurate information on the McIlvain side but the parents of Roana (on census records she was boen in OH, married in IN) are not 100% proven. She was also called Janie or Anna. Wrixham's father signed for his underage son to marry Roana who was about 3 yrs older and not a minor. That documnent has her name spelled as Wroana Janee Jolliffe. I would be elated to know photos exist. Thank you. Karen

George Washington Brock
I agree with you Emma, he Should have been buried with the rest of the family at Weir Cemetery. However it appears that he was buried in Hempstead County, AR. at Bingen Ozan Cemetery. I can't imagine how this happened; my family record shows that he passed away in Crawford County. This one is interesting.

Allie Bailey Hogan #43723902
Emma, I have found where Allie Hogan is buried. Allie died of tuberculosis and was sent to a sanitarium at Ft. Bayard, New Mexico. The Army set up a hospital and admitted civilians as well as the Military. She died 25 Jan 1918 and is buried in Ft Bayard National Cemetery, Section B Row F Site 26. There is a memorial #332226 entered for her as Allie Hogan.
