I am now a ninety year old mother, grandmother, gr-grandmother, and recently a gr-gr-grandmother. On my 80th birthday my grandkids were ask to share what they remember about grandma. Because I realized they didn't know much about their ancestors, I decided to write down what I remembered of the stories that were told to me as I was growing up. That lead me to contact the Sequoia Genealogical Society. |
Volunteers taught me how to find more than 100 years of local family history from the Tulare City Libraries Genealogical Collection.
One volunteer, a retired school teacher taught me, fourth grade style, how to search the Internet on the computer. That year my daughter and grand children gave me a computer for Christmas, and I was off and flying and now I added Find a Grave to my activities.
When you visit one of my memorials please leave a flower. I appreciate it when you say what relation, if any, to a person.
Because of my age I would like to transfer some of my memorials. For many of them, I am not a direct descendant, and I prefer to transfer to direct descendants. There are a few occasions where I will make an exception. I will not make any transfers unless you leave a flower and a note.

|Cathy Morgan||Deliah Taylor|
Are you related to Deliah? I see you put a lovely photograph on her site. I am not related. I photographed her stone when I was at the cemetery on the possibility she was related. I will transfer her to you, if you would like.

Thank you so much for sharing the obituary of Fay Crenshaw. It adds so much to the memorial!
|Pete Nocks||RE: Edits|
I get numerous edits, and it keeps me busy. I don't just accept them without checking them out, and also updating memorials with information I have at the same time. I am at present updating 1500 memorials. I will be taking a trip to CA next week for 2 weeks. I will add edits when I have time.
I have been researching family history since 1995. My mother is now 86yrs old and was adopted out as a baby. She was able to meet her real mother in 1976, but her father had passed 1930. Her mother was a Culver (born 1908) from Michigan.
We enjoying finding any and all information of her family that we can.
What a wonderful thing you are doing by writing/sharing all your family stories for your family. You are Priceless - God Bless

|Virginia Decker||Wallace family|
I am related to Lamar Wallace, whose family from Oklahoma is listed on Find a Grave. You have posted several photos of his family, specifically on Ida Mae Henry Nicholas 's page. She was Lamar's grandmother. His mother was Biddie Nicholas Wallace. Please tell me how you obtained the photos and whether you are related to him. He is 102 years old.
|Jarred Gulley||The Gulley Family|
Thank you very much Audrey for all the help with the Gulley history and information. It has helped me a lot as I hope to continue passing down this information to my children and so on.
I would be honored to accept some of your memorial transfers.

Thanks very much, Audrey!
|Doyle Phillips||Isaac Phillips b 1803|
Thanks for posting the portrait. It is the earliest picture i yet know of for my bloodline from John Phillips b c 1725 to Gabriel Phillips b 1759 and father of Isaac.
I would like to get in touch with anyone related to us 'uns. Especially interested in uncovering the reason behind the Civil War murder of Marion Phillips by 4 named killers. I suspect that he might have been considered Unionist and that he like ancestors was more-or-less Quaker. doyle phillips (México)
Incidentally i am compiling a book on the history of John and his brother Gabriel Phillips which will be on Amazon in about 2 weeks.
