Born in New York City, I grew up in New Jersey where I still reside. I started researching my family in the early 1980s after my two daughters were born. Between my family and my wife's family, I have information on more than 80 surnames. Since many of my family lines have ended in brick walls, I enjoy helping others by visiting cemeteries and posting photos on this website. The photo is of the gravesite of my Foster ancestors buried in Waitsfield, Vt.|

|Anne Sturgis||RE: Vesta A. Waid, Waid Cemetery|
Well, I actually DO have another source - her husband John Waid's obit: Titusville Herald, 12 Aug 1907, pg 2, specifically states who her parents were...
"Mr. Waid was married in 1943 to Miss Vesta Ann Matthews, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Matthews, who then resided upon a part of what is now the Waid homestead."
I'll add your source as alternate info, since I was only documenting a cemetery that was not yet documented. But I seriously doubt if the History of Crawford County, altho a great reference, is absolutely correct all the time.

Thanks so much for taking this photo of my dad's grave marker. It was covered up when we were there for my step-mother's burial.
|Janice Dyer Doran||RE: Secrest ancestors|
Slay, I checked my tree and all the Secrest that I have listed came from Va/WVa and settled in the Guernsey Co., Ohio area. There are so many Secrest's and they all seem to have the same names in every family. :) Good luck in your search. Sorry I couldn't be of any help.

I'll be glad to see if I can help with the obits. Send me whatever info you have.
|Shirley||RE: Sadie Mallory photo|
I did put on her husband today. Bert Mallory. If you'd like you can enter the photo also on his site. It's up to you. Thank you again.

Thank you so much for the nice marker photo. I do appreciate the time you took to do this for me. I grew up in Warren County (Port Colden and Washington) but have lived in Alabama for a long time. Again, thank you!!!

|Helen Schwartz||Thanks for transferring Stephen Lawrence|
I appreciate being able to maintain the family memorials - thank you so much. If you have any others who are linked to him feel free to transfer them. I keep a large tree on ancestry.com so continue to add new memorials to findagrave.com when I can and love finding them.
|Kathleen Hamler Purchase||Are you all Hamler Family members?|
Andrew H. Hamler was my G-Uncle and I was wondering if anyone here is connected to me? Slay, I really appreciate your excellent photographic work and willing heart to help us with our genealogies. Are you are ever willing to let family members take over your entries which are not your family? Your name, of course, would be still connected to your photographic work. It would simply mean that I could have authority to add more info on my family members, like Andrew H. Hamler.
If this is not an appropriate question, I deeply apologize because you have been a wonderful help for me and my genealogy quest...
