Been exploring Cemeteries and my family history for a few decades and enjoy helping others as my time and travels allow.|
Particularly interested in older cemeteries and family stories. Normal travels take me to areas between Boston and Worcester MA, and near Waterville, Maine. Still check find a grave out whenever I travel.

A BIG thank you for obit memorial for John S. Williams. For years I had his mother as Lucinda Unknown. You included her maiden name (Valentine).I've been able to confirm it. With that useful info I've been able to retrace several generations. Much appreciated and a well written memorial. Thank you. Shannon.

|Martha||Hilda Sprague Goodwin thompson|
Hilda (Sprague) Goodwin that you have the headstone for was actually married after John L. Goodwin, but I guess she was buried with her first husband. She married James Edward Thompson on14 Oct 1890 in Hudson, Massachusetts. James Thompson died in 1900 in Franklin County, Maine, and Hilda, when she died, was evidently buried as Hilda Goodwin. The marriage to James Edward Thompson is found in the Massachusetts Marriage Records, 1840-1915. In the 1900 Census James Thompson and Hilda are living in Phillips, Franklin, Maine, listed as father-in-law and mother-in-law of Joel H. Byron (who married Florrie Thompson (daughter of James Thompson from his first marriage to Elizabeth Spooner Cushman).

I'm so sorry for the long delay in getting to this update and thanking you for the transfer of Bertha. I was hit with a very long and serious illness and am now able to get back to doing some catch-up work on my Find A Grave stuff. I sincerely apologize for the long delay. And, thank you for the photo of Bertha's family Gravestone - it's a beauty.
