I have been working on my genealogy for the last 15 years. I have been amazed at the amount of information that I have found on the internet. I am also amazed at how little the remaining family members knew about their parents and grandparents. I know someday my grandchildren will be interest and they will have the information they need to continue the work I started. I have had a lot of success and a lot of frustration but the effort is truly worth it.|

Hi, Gwen - I certainly haven't researched this family to any significant degree. One of Lang Groze (memorial 14311231) and Malinda Louise Johnson Groze's (memorial 7532536) daughters, Ida Caroline (memorial 75690357), married into my family. She married Samuel Marion Allen 11 Nov 1897 in Walker County, Texas. Her parents and siblings were also living in Walker County in 1900 with their surname listed as "Groves." In 1910, a widowed Malinda "Groves" was living in Wise County next door to her daughter, Lillie Tenpenny, and her family. In 1920, Malinda Groze was listed in Tarrant County with son, Arthur. I couldn't locate the family in the 1880 census but they were apparently living in or travelling to Bedias, Grimes County, TX. Son, Charlie Wilmer's place of birth was given as that on his death certificate. That's about the extent of what I know about this bunch other than seeing Malinda tracing back to Clarke County, Alabama.
Happy hunting, Candyce
