Bio and Links
Bio Photo I've been researching my families for over 30 years. Currently, I'm trying to scan & share a large collection of old family photographs and documents that have come to me from various relatives, mostly my late grandmother.

As I scan & prepare the photographs, I'm trying to post as many as possible to findagrave for others to enjoy. Especially the very old ones. Some that are labeled are not of known family connections so I'm also researching the names in an attempt to identify them.

One that I am very proud of is Jesse Elton McEwen, buried at Palms Woodland Cemetery, Miami-Dade Co FL. It took a fair amount of research to figure out that he is probably not related, but simply a neighbor of an ancestor in Carroll Co GA. I've created a memorial for him with the information I collected. Please visit his site and show him some love.

Another memorial that I'm very proud of is for my ancestor, William Francis Marion Nobles, who died as a prisoner of war at Camp Douglas IL. His final resting place is Oak Woods Cemetery, Chicago, Cook Co IL. Please visit him also.

I hope you enjoy visiting my paternal great grandfather, Hilborn Whit Hulsey. My maternal grandfather, Rev Virgil Sizemore, preached his funeral before there was a family connection. My parents were only 10 years old and I don't think they met until a few years later. If you know any of the people mentioned that aren't linked, please let me know.

Surnames I'm connected to include: Adair, Ashworth, Barnett, Beam, Black, Burks, Cates, Clore, Crow, Dickson, Dunson, Estes, Gilbert, Hendrix, Hulsey, Leathers, Lowe, Lyle, McBrayer, McGlathery, Meadors, Mobley, Mote/Motte, Nobles, Pate, Parr, Pinson, Reid, Sanders, Simonton, Sizemore, Stanford, Steele, Stephens, Tomme, Vining, Waldrop, Williams, and others.

Places I'm particularly connected to include: Laurens Co SC, Henry & Clayton Co GA, Carroll & Haralson Co GA, and Blount & Cullman Co AL.

McBrayer at Rose Hill
Debbie, I went to Rose Hill Cemetery today and took some full photo's of Sallie Jane's memorial.
I put one on her memorial and two on John's. Look at them and if they are not what you want let me know and I will delete them. It looks to me that someone is buried on each side of her. The ground is sunk in on one side about the right size.

RE: McBrayer
No I am not related. I have been working on Rose Hill cemetery since 2013. When I first started I did as everyone else and just made picture of the stones that we could read and made close up photo of only the people that were with out photo's. I spent 7 hours at the cemetery Friday. I was retaking all of the headstones on the new side with full photo of the site so that some one could find the grave from the photo. I clean off the grass and use water to clean old ones that we can't read. I never do anything that will harm a grave stone. If you will bear with me for about two weeks I will go make full photo's of all the McBrayer's I can find and see if there may be some unmarked. Then if they are related to you I will transfer all to you. I am not interested in numbers only correct information. I have done all of Carrville Cemetery except for some unmarked or new one this year. I have put on almost 3 thousand photo and memorials at Rose Hill. I have this desire to put everyone that I can possibly find and match them with their familys. I have found people from all over the States buried at Rose Hill. So please bear with me on the edits and I will find out all I can for you. Thanks Jean Spear West.

Mary Dean
I believe everything is up to date now. Can you tell me which Dean she married to. I have many Dean relative through my great grandmother. We had some friends, Jim and Tammy Melton and Ray and Rose Gebaugh (not sure of spelling) who moved to Cullman when a factory closed here and moved to Cullman.

RE: New Reagin
Its been a while, but with an email from a kind lady, she directed me to two brothers of Melvin T. Reagin who is the brother to my Lola M. Reagin. I sent a dna test and yep we are 1C2xR. It feels so good to have found her. Now the big task to find who fathered her child, my grandmother. I have some leads on a family but not as close as I would like. I may never find where they buried Lola since she is listed in the newspaper as Mrs. C. E. Davis instead of her real name. But I'll keep searching.

Rebecca E Hulsey
Hi Debbie,
I am related to a Rebecca Hulsey and I am trying to find her family. I found your information on this family in My Rebecca was born in Alabama too, but died in Florida. She was married to a Jones. My question is how do you know that the Rebecca in this particular family is the one married to a Colvard? It looks like you have really done your research! I thank you for any help that you can give me! Lindsey

I have updated her memorial with the info you requested, however I would really like to know her first name, if you have it. The death certificate I used to enter her memorial did not have it listed. Thanks in advance.
