Rhea and Askey Families
Hi Bruce,
I would like to know if you would transfer the Rhea and Askey memorials to me as they are my relatives. Martha Elzetta Rhea is my great-grandmother and Albert Jefferson ASkey is my great grandfather. Would like to take care of all the Rhea and ASkey memorials.

Thank you.

Bruce, thank you for posting the information and photographs. You have posted a photograph of what appears to be a mother, father and two children on Emmett's page. However, I could not find any names associated with this picture. I have the exact same picture - with no names. Emmett's wife Rose was my Great Aunt. I inherited several family photographs when my Grandmother Nora (Rose's sister) passed away, among them were several of Rose and her family. Would you know who these people are? I'm thinking it is most likely Rose holding Roberta on her lap and Emmett holding Chester on his lap, but I need that confirmed.

Sallie Clements Miller
Hello Bruce,

do we know what happened to Sallie for the rest of her life? Having been married to Jim Miller was she persecuted or allowed to get on with her life?

Many thanks

Veturia White - Memorial# 39230487
Bruce:

With your surname being White, I have to ask; was Veturia White related to you? She is my 2nd great-grandmother.

I have a copy of the Smith FAMILY TREE BOOK written by W. Thomas Smith (her son) published in the early 1920s. He indicates that; "Our mother spelled it Vetury. Others spelled it Veturia, which we think was the original way of spelling it." (You might want to add this as a note to her bio.)

I note that of the two pictures of Vetury White on your Memorial 39230487, one shows her in old age (the other picture is the same as that used in the Family Tree Book). Do you have access to these pictures? -RB

Elizabeth Luticia Simmons Wallace
Hello,

Elizabeth (memorial #38977189) seems to be buried at a different Plainview cemetery. According to records at http://unger.myplainview.com/cemetery/cemetery.php?name=Wallace - she is buried at Plainview cemetery as is her husband and son.

thanks

Regarding Benjamin P Hardin II
Bruce, there is no P in his name. He was sheriff of Wayne Co, TN, rec'd land grants in TX, named in wife,Martha (Patsy) Barnett Hardin's, land transfers to their children, and pension request she made for his service in the War of 1812. In none of these documents was the middle initial of P used.
Outside of records in Texas there is only one other instance of Benjamin P Hardin and that is in Wayne Co records and refers to Ben & Martha's son, Benjamin P Hardin when he was in his early 20s.....gerry rollins
