RE: Did you know Norma Scott Gollihugh
Yes I knew Norma Ruth Scott Gollihugh very well. She was my first cousin. Her mother Ruth, was my Daddys sister. as was Bettie Jo Byrom Walton. Bettie was married to Andy Walton of Memphis tx and is buried in Memphis..... It seems as though I have heard Norma Ruth speak of you.... if so you were a very good friend to her...Thank you for being her friend.... we always visited her when we would go to Amarillo.

Mary Ruth Walton Wells
Hello Amy, Mary Walton Wells was my 1st cousin, the daughter of Nana Lela Weldy Walton, the older sister of my father William Edward Weldy. I thought you might like to know that Nana's maiden name was Weldy. Her obituary states that she was a lifelong resident of Memphis, TX. Is that where Andy moved with her when he left Portales, NM? Do you know what year Andy left Portales? Mary Ruth's and my grandmother was Mary Lee Gertrude Jergins Weldy Howard whose step-mother was Emma Zelma Jergins, the 2nd wife of my great-grandfather. I have a picture of Grandma, her youngest daughter Della Howard, and Mary Ruth standing on the front porch of the house that belonged to Grandma's step-mother Emma. I think you must be a relative because someone transferred Mary's memorial to you. Am I right? And, you don't have thousands of memorials like those who set them up to be nice. I added a couple of photos. I hope you don't mind. I don't have any of Mary Ruth as an adult except the one with her father, and someone who has to be a relative of his. I just don't know who. Thank you so much for setting up this memorial. We have been looking for her for years with no success. Cathey Weldy Cline

I am not in Nixon Tennessee. Your request for this cemetery was listed in the county of Hawkins. I don't know of any town named "Nixon" is what I am trying to say.

RE: A.C. Bryant Headstone picture
Amy, Mrs. Bryant shows no information under her name on the city cemetery list other than she was buried by the county. They don't even have a section or plot number for her. Because she is not on my list, that means that she doesn't have a headstone. Otherwise, I would have photographed her headstone.

RE: Betsy Gross Lamb
btw, you didn't waste my time. I got some pictures of some other older graves and added them to Find A Grave, not to mention that I got out of the house for a while. I had a good time looking and met some nice folks. All in all, a good day. :)
