I was born in Vaiden, MS, on Dec. 31, 1954 to Alf Trotter Collins and Juanita Hambrick Collins.|
I lived in Vaiden, MS until 1979, Winona, MS until 1981, when I moved to Jackson, MS. In 1990, I moved to Florence, MS, where I still reside.
I have two wonderful sons, Sean and Cody, and I worked as a Level 2 Computer Field Technician for AmSouth Bank, In-House Technician for Trustmark Bank and Field Technician for CompuCom servicing 10 Lowe's stores in Mississippi.
I have an A.A. Degree in Pre-Law; a B.S. Degree in History with a Minor in English; and a Master of Social Sciences with an emphasis in History.
I have written and maintain 240+ web pages, including listings of the burials in the Vaiden Mississippi Cemetery (White) and the Vaiden Community Cemetery (African-American).
So far, my family history has been traced back to my 14th Generation Grandfather, John Collins I, who was the keeper of the Gael (prison) for King Charles I of England (son of James I - of the King James Bible fame). Other relatives include another King (Elvis).
Other hobbies include motorcycles, making music as a drummer, historical research, adding entries to Find-a-Grave (since 08/12/2000), and watching and collecting DVDs.
PLEASE CHECK FIRST TO SEE IF ENTRIES HAVE ALREADY BEEN ADDED AND MAKE SURE THAT ANY MARKER PHOTOS AND DATES ARE LEGIBLE.

Re: your correction suggestions: 61317586 and 47138685 are duplicates.....Yes I am aware there are two entries for Mr Jenkins, one is listed under the Pryor Family Cemetery and the other under the Alexander Cemetery. this cemetery listing was passed to my care by a contributor who is now deceased. there are two names for this cemetery which one is the actual true name I do not know as there seems to be some dispute about it and it has been confusing for some family members when researching histories, as some records indicate Pryor and some indicate Alexander....so it was decided with a family member to leave the entry under both cemetery names for research purposes. but thank you for your concern..however I will make a note on the memorial as to the reason it is listed under two different cemetery names.
You have been so patient with us on the Coxes. Thanks for the transfers and we will try to make it right. Armymom

I see, where you wrote on his memorial, that he is your uncle?? Which sibling of his is your ancestor? His Aunt, Mary Jane, married my 2nd cousin Rufus Cook... looks like we are related through marriage :)

Hello, I have deleted my Martha Hill (80847312). I appreciate the info you wrote on her memorial. Very helpful. I live in Kansas and Mississippi is a vacation spot for us. I have been to the cemetery where the Hillís are buried.
Thanks, Dorothy Hill Erickson (47341913)

Thanks for all your hard work!
I did a Google search about Vaiden, MS and your Find a Grave link popped up and I thought you might be able to help. One, if not more, of the Smith lines that settled in and around Lincoln Co., MS are connection to the Jackson line the lived at Vaiden... and several people researching these lines are trying to located the Jackson Family Cemetery listed on Find a Grave in Vaiden. Do you have any idea where it is or know anyone who might? Any help you could give would be very much appreciated.
Thank you so much,
Lincoln Co., MS
