Ever since joining Findagrave, I've worked weekly to add and find family connections to memorials. My mother, Shirley Liles Hok, a.k.a. leyhok, and I have team-worked our genealogy for years (she began collecting oral stories as a young girl). Through her name we maintain a presence on Ancestry.com, Facebook, familysearch.org, google sites, FamilyTreeDNA, gedmatch, and so on.|
We are currently updating our ancestry onto various parts of the web. Links are slow coming as I am still heavily involved in research (my never ending search for sources!).
If you maintain a memorial for our relative and would like to transfer to me, I'd love to help.
Or, if I have a memorial you would like to maintain, please contact me.
My photos are for non-profit genealogy use. Please reference FindAGrave as the image source if you post images elsewhere.

Ive made the connection of Mary Brader to the Hanes men, based upon your research, which I believe is accurate. If they are your people Im happy to transfer. Interestingly, I dont find a Brader in Olrando during that time. I wonder if it was transcribed from the record incorrectly? I can check that. The book I worked from to add their memorials usually has any extra info from the burial card in the office noted - but in this case, Im happy to double check that. Perhaps Mr. Braders name is listed.

|Frances Bowen Frost||Martha Olivia North Carmichael|
I have no idea why Mr.Robert put Martha as first name,he transfered all of his FindAGrave to me before he passed away. If this is a relative of yours & you want her, send me an edit & I will be glad to transfer.
With your info I was able to link the baby to his dad, his dad to his dad, and connect a brother and an uncle!!

Thank you for the additional information on this baby. I believe his grandfather is also in Greenwood Cemetery, as well as an infant sibling.

|Winnette||Edits request for Mattie Bobo Finlayson|
First of all, is Bobo a given name, maiden name or is it a nickname. I will be happy to make those changes for you when you let me know. Find A Grave nor Ancestry do not let us know when photo's. floral tributes or anything is added to a memorial.
Please be advised I do not make edits, that do not come with source/proof. I need to be able to back it up, when someone disagre's, be sure, someone will.

Sorry, but no. I was presented with that photo many years ago by someone so I posted it.

Amaziah Jones' memorial has been updated! Thank you for the info.

If you want to read the book I referenced, do this: Go to the Google search engine and put in "James L. Carmichael" (with quotes). Whittle down the hits by selecting Books under "More." Then in what's left, hit "Search Tools" and under "Any Books" on the left, select "Free Google eBooks." (This is the fastest way I know to get there!) There will just be three hits, and the right book is the top one. I identified James L. Carmichael with his FindaGrave memorial based on his name, exact birth date, burial place, and parents. The article though does say he had two wives, Ella E. Russell and Mrs. M. M. (Edenfield) McLeod, neither of whom match Eula Rountree in the memorial. Now if the article itself is wrong or the memorial is incorrect, I wouldn't know since I have never researched this family.

Thanks for calling the birth-year problem to my attention. I still can't read that stone, but I did a some research and posted my findings to Ida's memorial.
