|Genealogy overtook my life in 1995 and continues to be my most enjoyable pastime. Theres no greater feeling that finding a piece of the greatest puzzle in the world, and being content to know that it will never be complete. |
Contributing photos to FAG is a natural progression and its been an enjoyable experience.
If an individual added to F-A-G by me is a relative of yours, I'm happy to transfer.
My own family interests are BEAMIS-BLUMHAGEN-CLEMENS-DICKERSON-FEIGNER-SAUNDERS
I am happy to transfer a memorial I've created if you are closer in relation than me --- as, I am likely NO relation to the majority of memorials I've entered. My motivation is for every individual to be memorialized so a decendant or relation can find them on the web.
I believe being related by whatever degree is better than not at all, and I do not have rules that you must be related "within 3 generations" or so .....
If you do not want a memorial, but wish for a 'bio' or other info to be added, please write what you want, tell me how to credit the writing to you, and I'll add --- but first, think if you'd rather maintain it yourself and ask for a transfer!

It has come to my attention that I have committed a grave error (no pun intended). I have used many photos from findagrave without obtaining permission from the contributors. I am now going through my ancestry.com tree and trying to correct this oversight.
I seem to have one of yours: John Parker Ewing buried in Walker Cem - Carthage, Hancock, IL. John is a 2x uncle to me.
Would it be okay with you if I keep your headstone photo of John's in my ancestry tree? I have updated the information there and added credit to you, but I will remove the whole thing if you wish.
Thank you for your consideration!

Thanks for making the updates to the memorial. I need to figure out how Mary's husband fits into my line or if he does. If I find he is there then I'll ask for a transfer. :)

Hi...I noticed you did the cemetery picture for Bluff Springs in Gregory Landing. I have requested pictures of family graves and wonder if you might have taken them at another time that you were there.

I'm sorry I don't have plot information. Thanks for any help.
MERRY CHRISTMAS AND HAPPY AND HEALTHY NEW YEAR

Thanks so much for the transfer - and for the grave photo!

May I please have your permission to use your photo of the gravestone in Missouris Lewis County Memorial Cemetery for Clarance (Clarence) Hackard on my public tree on ancestry.com? Of course, I will give you credit, unless you prefer that I not. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Thank for adding the dates - and so quickly. Yes, I am related but it is a very distance connection. With 23,000 names on my tree on Ancestry I am beginning to believe I am related to everyone.I manage a couple dozen memorials on Find A Grave but feel no need to collect more. When I see something I can add to or correct on a memorial on Find A Grave I try to do so. Thanx so much for all you do on Find A Grave - it has become such a fabulous reference site for genealogists. I cannot believe how it has grown thru the few years I have been with the site.
No, I do not mind if you reference me for the data.

Actually I didn't have a chance that trip, just had to time to go to Marks and Riverview in LaGrange. Will have to try to swing by on my next trip back to Lewis County. Thanks for all your help with my Lewis County photos!
Thank you for Luther's picture. That is the fastest I've ever had a photo come through! If you could post it on his wife's memorial too that would be great!

Thank You for the photos.

Thanks SO MUCH for the photo! I really appreciate it. I live far away and do not travel, so would have no opportunity to take the photo myself. God bless the volunteers like you!
